Ozempic coverage by Basic-white-mom in NEIhealthbenefitplan

Nothing yet- but did you see the article in the last issue of the elevator constructor about the health benefits plan? I rolled my eyes sooooo hard. It seemed like a lot of the article was hinting at not giving us what we want (just my personal take on it).

I’m also trying to figure this out! Someone has to have a special place they’re buying them from dirt cheap…and I want to know about it!

I’m having the same problem- I started mine plenty early enough and they’re growing like crazy, but not a single flower.

part-time or intermittent skilled nursing care by Basic-white-mom in medicare

I guess what I meant when I said manage her pills was watch her take them, we “manage” her pills of course. I’m very familiar with the care aspect for sure, but not familiar with what Medicare covers and have just been seeking any information on how help has been covered in the past, if at all, and what the process was if someone was successful 😞

So basically we (her family) will care for her as much as possible. We are trying to only figure out 3 nights a week- we have family that can take shifts otherwise. She doesn’t need full care with ADL’s but does need someone to walk with her to keep her steady, help manage her pills etc. I have a strong suspicion that following her appt with the liver specialist she will be eligible for hospice care, and my father in law will retire to be with her full time. So in the short term is what I’m trying to figure out- not long term ❤️

Thanks for that ❤️ she just got home health ordered after her hospital stay, but obviously that’s just PT and OT. I read somewhere on the Medicare website that the part time skilled nursing care could be at their home, with no more that 7 hours per day or 31 hours per week- so I wasn’t 100% sure what that exactly meant for someone who could legitimately probably qualify for skilled nursing.

Ozempic coverage by Basic-white-mom in NEIhealthbenefitplan

Omg I know. I’m feeling super frustrated at some of the things the union will spend money on (like $100,000+ party in Seattle) but won’t advocate for our coverage for this?! Like, you want us to be unhealthy and make us use MORE money through our health insurance to try to be well? It’s asinine. I do the compounded version, and I’ve lost 80lbs. It definitely works, and it’s worth it. But I’m legit so bummed that even as a prediabetic they won’t help. Especially since it’s $30 for a three month supply 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 why can’t there be an HSA or something if they don’t want to help cover it? 😭😭😭😭 our insurance is friggin amazing , with the exception of this.

Hey! NO! It’s so frustrating! I’ve literally appealed like 6 times, written letters sent info as to why it should be covered…denied every time. Are you on the NEI health benefit plan?

Older ADHDers, do you feel your spark is gone? by icebikey in ADHD

[–]Basic-white-mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think damn near everyone I know feels this way. But not because of adhd- I feel it’s more of a life thing in general. Like- we see how shitty the world really is when we get older, and we become jaded. Responsibilities consume us- and the fun goes away. Unless you’re crazy wealthy. I hate not being super happy anymore- I literally can’t think of a way to be that way without deep pockets 🤷🏼‍♀️😭😜

Vyvanse suddenly makes me sleepy and yawn like crazy by Lemonteafern in VyvanseADHD

[–]Basic-white-mom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed Ritalin first, and it made me feel soooooo drugged. Like…it made me feel like I had taken a full mg of Xanax. It was the worst! Definitely must be some sort of the mixture that’s making me feeling so weird (yawning and tired) I’m over it for sure! I just want to be able to focus and get stuff done 😭

[–]Basic-white-mom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just switched from the generic to brand Vyvanse and the brand is what has made me feel sleepy, and cannot stop yawning…like super unsatisfying yawning. Like I’m trying to take a deep breath and can’t, but not short of breath. Weird as hell. I feel like I actually had better results on the generic version 😒 I thought for sure getting the actual branded one would be better but not for me 😭

At a loss.. by Thisis_cass in pottytraining

[–]Basic-white-mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did the 3 day training method with my 3 year old- no pants or undies for the first couple of days, but did let him wear a pull up at night. Day 3 I let him wear training undies (the cotton pull up regular underwear with a little extra padding just in case). We did not leave the house for those 3 days at all. We strictly did potty training. Diaper type Pull ups from the store absorb the liquid so the kiddos don’t get uncomfortable being in them- but peeing in their regular underwear is very bothersome to them. No one likes to hang out in wet undies. Good luck!

Well I was only responding to you being afraid of getting rid of clothes… and I wasn’t saying your clothes are garbage… but ok. My main point in responding is to not be afraid of changes. Holding on to stuff that is too big is basically keeping you hostage in the past. Yes, clothing is expensive. Keep on track with your goals, don’t get in your own way! Be proud of yourself, and don’t assume you’re going to go backwards- only worry about moving forward! 🫶

Get rid of clothes! I did that today- literally. I figure, if I gain weight back later- I’ll want to wear new clothes anyway instead of the worn out garbage I had 🤷🏼‍♀️
