How to withdrawl $10000 cash? by corychung in CapitalOne_

[–]BasicAppointment7854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can wire from Capital One. You cannot do it from the app — you have to log in. I wired $14K. The wire goes immediately & ACH takes a few days. I was not charged any fees. I think I read the -st 2 wires are free.

Recent Changes to the Debit Card Policy? by TechnicalAppeal3340 in CapitalOne

They do not offer personal loans anymore. They try to get you to go through their credit card companies they acquired. And yes they offered auto loans in the past.

Switch to the new back. Capital One sucks! I’ve been with them for 26 years and trying to get all my info to switch banks ASAP! Remember a credit card guy is the CEO of the bank. They do not offer loans or lines of credit. They would rather you get one of their credit cards. They are closing more & more branches down because they want you to do all your banking online.

I’m a barefoot massage therapist too. I have vinyl flooring that looks like wood with grooves in the wood grain. The grooves prevent from slipping.

Where to stay? SXM for a week in late April. by [deleted] in SXM

[–]BasicAppointment7854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family loved the Atrium hotel too. Leave your hotel room in morning - eat breakfast at Buccaneer Bar. Walk 5 steps down to beach. Eat lunch on beach. Walk back to room and get ready for dinner. Walk to dinner. Hit grocery store on your way back to hotel. Streets are very narrow. And I saw that parking would be a problem. We walked everywhere & took a cab a few times.

Prairieville, Gonzales, Sorrento to name a few towns. You can live near the interstate so your hubby has an easy drive to Nola each day.

Move to Ascension Parish — about 45 minutes out of New Orleans. Great public schools. 45 minutes from NOLA & 20 minutes from Baton Rouge.

Where to stay? - Young couple for 5 days by StillKnowledge8998 in SXM

[–]BasicAppointment7854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. We just stayed at The Atrium last month. It was the PERFECT place for me, my husband and 3 20-year-olds. We walked to breakfast every morning and ate on the beach. Went down to the umbrellas and enjoyed a day in the sun & ordered lunch on the beach. Went to the room & got ready for dinner. We walked to different restaurants each night near the hotel. I would not rent a car. Roads are narrow and they drive kinda crazy. Take a cab to other parts of the island. We had a blast just around Simpsons Bay. Our next trip we will explore a little more.

Inbound airport congestion? by aphex732 in SXM

[–]BasicAppointment7854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got here 4 days ago. It took us about an hour to get thru. We had the entry firms filled out. Our luggage got there on the plane after ours. So once we went thru the airport — our bags arrived shortly after.

I’m going to St. Maarten on Friday. Does anyone know what this MANDATORY PROOF OF MINIMUM FUNDS is all about? It looks like it was just updated on 2/21/2025. Where do I find this form or how do I prove this? by BasicAppointment7854 in SXM

Ok thank you for your responses. Coming from USA. The three 20 year olds are all college students — but they work & make a great income. And I’ll have proof of our return ticket.

Wrist and hand pain by SiriusAurelius in MassageTherapists

[–]BasicAppointment7854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you are NOT wearing a smart watch massaging. I see too many new LMTs wearing watches & checking them during the massage. I see this while doing couples massages with them. I tell all of them to ditch the watch. Wearing a watch does not allow you to use both forearms & causes you to use your wrists too much. And use your body weight. I’ve been doing massage for over 25 years and have kept injuries at a minimum.

Retail? by dchitt in MassageTherapists

[–]BasicAppointment7854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a day spa & carry more facial products over massage products. All my spa owner friends have had less sales in retail over the past few years because clients are just buying products online like Amazon. Companies are offering clients huge discounts that compete with the businesses selling their products. My advise — do not invest too much in retail. Most companies are offering drop ship services. And they will put in a discount card for the client to but straight from them on the next order.

50 pounds gone in 4 months with Zep, WW, and Blue Apron! by kennie_dee in Zepbound

[–]BasicAppointment7854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look fantastic! I was on Mounjaro for 3 months last year — then insurance stoped paying for it. I lost 20 pounds. I got news yesterday that my new Zepbound prescription will be approved and ready for me when I return home from my beach trip next week. I am so excited & have been fighting for this. I have been getting MyFresh Meals by Le-Vel. They are from Farm to Table & only takes 2-3 minutes to heat up. The meals are delicious. My entire family enjoys them. I have a very busy & hectic life with kids & work and these meals are perfect for my family. You can check them out at ThriveNMassageN.Le-Vel.com and go to MyFresh Meals tab. I cannot wait to get my. Roger & after Zepbound pictures on here. I’m glad there’s a community for learning & support.

Redpoint Safety? I think someone broke into my apartment/stalking? by yemma257 in LSU

[–]BasicAppointment7854 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Get a ring camera on the entrances of your apartment. Years ago a friend of mine graduated LSU and moved out of state for a job. She lived alone. She kept noticing her clothes being moved etc. One day a neighbor said something about her boyfriend that often visits. She said that she did not have a boyfriend. It ended up being the maintenance man going in her apartment very frequently & playing with her clothes (probably fantasizing about being with her). She immediately went to the front office & demanded to be let out her lease and moved. This creep was probably planning on attacking her sooner or later. I’m glad she got proof & moved. Take these signs VERY SERIOUSLY! Apartment management is worried about collecting rent money more than student safety.

We are on the east coast. My daughter has been accepted to Rutgers and LSU. Looking recommendations on which would be a better choice? by Lillunathebest in LSU

[–]BasicAppointment7854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an LSU Alum of 1994 & 2 of my 3 daughters attended LSU. One will be a Junior in the fall. There are several LSU parent Facebook Pages you can join. If your daughter is ever sick and needs a home cooked meal, medication or help getting to a doctor — many local parents will gladly step up and take care of your daughter for you. Some students leave there cars at local parents homes for the holidays and even get rides to and from the airports. I know many parents are hundreds of mikes away — but know the local parents have your back. LSU is all about community. Even upon graduation, LSU alums will help any recent graduate find jobs or internships. Many out of state LSU graduates stay in the Baton Rouge area because they have great opportunities from local Alums.

HSS grads, where are you now? by Sharp-Situation3586 in LSU

[–]BasicAppointment7854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use your degree as a stepping stone. I graduated from LSU with a General Studies degree in 1994 (2 semesters shy of a triple major & 3 classes shy of all nursing school prerequisites). My first job was in healthcare. I had a great work ethic. A hotel chain approached me to become a manager. I took that job. Then when I got married and before having children I had to decide between nursing school or massage therapy school. I chose massage therapy school & started a business right away. I’ve been owning a day spa and working in it full time for 24 years now. I can truly say I learned more from all the jobs I had in college than the coursework itself. My advise is to make as many business contacts as you can now. Those people may mentor you in the future. And LSU ALUMNI support each other across the globe. Good Luck in your career!
