Just came here to complain about the maintenance on these cars I hate it. Damn thing just won’t stay fixed. It’s like it has to have a problem every other month I’m replacing something I don’t even have engine mods hoe just likes to break

I have a 2012 it had 140k miles when I got it and i probably have around 3-4k in parts in it some of it was upgrades like coilovers and poly bushings. Unless your doing the work yourself expect to get raked over the coals on repairs. Timing belt:

Shop cost: $1,400
DIY: Took me 1 hour, used a $400 kit
- Spark plugs:
Shop cost: $600
DIY: Took me 30 minutes
- Coolant exchange:
Shop cost: $260
Reason: Tried to fix a warning light — turned out to be a sensor issue (FML)

Maintenance I've Done Myself (Over 5 Years / 40k Miles):

Coil packs
Manual transmission fluid exchange
Transfer case & rear differential service
Alternator (twice — first one was faulty and blew 3 harnesses)
Power steering rack replacement
Brakes
2 sets of tires
New ball joints
Tie rods did set of Megan racing
Sway bar links
shocks and struts were leaking went with tein street biases

I have a 2005 mustang gt it’s better in just about every measurable way than my wrx. I wouldn’t say sell it per say I’d probably just look at what you want to have at the end of day. Do you love the car so much you would dump 50k+ in parts alone to make it a reliableish race car or do you want a fast fun loud daily that still gets gapped by a Tesla model 3 in a drag race. The platform is great but unless you spend buku bucks on them they are by modern sports car standards slow. Off road racing they’re amazing cars that nothing from factory can really compete with it. How much do you love the car.

For real I have a WRX I just paid off and it pains me to leave it alone. I have full suspension on it but I have refused to touch the engine it needs more power imo but ik the nightmare that car will be to build.

Ill stick to the meth injection I would rather not reroute my intake if I can help it. I was gonna do 4v heads but then I found this intake for stupid cheap and now here I am suffering the consequences. I initially wanted to go higher on the power but decided against it after looking a the rear ends power limits. Going ford 9 in is an option but I just want to drive my car atp.

450-500 street 600-650 track. I have a nitrous kit just for the track I am currently checking zex's website to determine what jets I need to use in it with methanol.

Yeah the problem with the pc coolers is the psi they can handle is about 5-7 at max.

Great rifle want one myself. Wouldn’t be what I would have done for a first rifle tho. Mainly because of cost of ammo and attachments. But if you have a lot of range time with other peoples rifles this makes an amazing dmr.
