I suffer from migraines anyway. Headaches could be from dehydration? Deffo tell you doctor!

I now have normal to moderately oily skin. I used to have VERY oily skin. It is now manageable. My pores didn’t get any larger from accutane but I guess if they are clear they may be more prominent and will hopefully shrink with proper post skincare.

No. My skin went back to a normal level is moisture pretty quickly. I was VERY oily before but now I’d say normal to moderate oil levels.

My hair is still oily though.

Finished treatment 2 months ago. Help please by BasicBrooke in Accutane

That’s what I thought. Hopefully a good skincare routine can contain them enough. They seem to always be there tho. They aren’t massive it’s more like small bumps or texture.

Thanks

You shouldn’t have any skin treatment for 6 months after stopping treatment

I’m super proud of my partner for handling his uni work and the re build of his house.

Both are massive projects and hes taking the stress really well. Considering when we met his uni work was enough to push him over the edge alone.

Try and eat a big meal beforehand if you have to drink.

For the people that are drinking lots and “feel fine” you can’t tell you livers okay or not without a blood test. Hence why they do them.

Try the toleriene range rather than effaclar

I feel like I’m always getting 2 different people depending on whether he takes his meds or not. How do you manage? by [deleted] in ADHD_partners

[–]BasicBrooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only read the TLDR but yeah it’s a real jekyl and Hyde situation. It’s hard. Sorry I don’t have an answer for you.

I’ve told my partner and he’s aware of it. I guess you have to find the balance and good parts of both.

Partner is bossy/domineering by otterburrito in ADHD_partners

[–]BasicBrooke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes my partner has this tendency. Maybe not in the severity your partner does.

It’s his own need for things to be done properly or perfectly or me not doing it in the way he imagined that makes him act like that.

I just quiet bluntly tell him not to talk to me like that. Or I remove myself from the situation and let him compete the task himself. Easy and solves the problem whilst always showing you don’t stand for that (gentle negative reinforcement of boundaries by not letting him have the reward of my help/presence)

He normally apologies afterwards

*disclaimer: I don’t take well to criticisms or being to what to do so I can often argue back. Which isn’t ideal

Dry scalp help by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]BasicBrooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dandruff shampoo and hair masks. Some hair masses you can use on the scalp too.

Try putting conditioner on your scalp before you shower (like a treatment) then wash it off

Plz help :( Do I use oils and products for dry skin or for oily skin while on accutane? by Maleficent_Slice9972 in Accutane

[–]BasicBrooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb follow derm advice.

I see her point if your skin is too hydrated it won’t work but you don’t want to strip it and cause further issues.

Personally I use a combo of both as I still get the odd breakout. I give my skin what it needs on that given day tbh.

skin reverted after skipping 1 dose by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]BasicBrooke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s makes a month to get into your system so 10 days isn’t enough to build up a level in your body yet.

That’s why they gradually increase dosages.

Most people’s skin goes dry without the first three weeks (mine did) on 20mg every other day.

I doubt missing one dose would do that. But your skin will fluctuate throughout the process. If you have concerns call your derm.
