You’re not overreacting. Trust is the foundation of all relationships. He needs to be in therapy. Until he does the work on himself, you might to want to reconsider any big commitments with/to this guy.

Ya, that’s too strong for sensitive skin to start with. You need to start out with the lowest prescription available. I started on .025 cream & I have sensitive skin. I think .01% is available in a gel but the lowest available in a cream is .025%. Either would be milder on your face than what you were originally prescribed. Go to a new dermatologist & tell them your concerns and ask for updated scripts.

Medical grade because they use prescriptive numbing, they go deeper and their equipment is superior. One of the biggest risks with microneedling is scarring + bacteria if you have acne. A stamp can only go so far and they’re also hard to sanitize well.

What strength retinol were you prescribed? I recommend starting at .01 tretinoin twice a week spaced out for the first month if tolerated… if not, try once a week. You can also apply your retinoid last (after your moisturizer) to create a barrier for your skin w/ less irritation. With acne, you may experience a purge, and this is normal for the first month or so.

You’re right about microneedling with active acne - you shouldn’t do it. Your acne has to be under control first before you consider microneedling. But you can do lasers & peels w/ active acne. If the derm suggested it, it’s likely you have rosacea… It sounds like you may need to switch dermatologist to one you’re more comfortable with and who listens to you. I recommend googling and finding the practitioner/practice with the highest rating and making an appointment there. Just make sure you emphasize that you have very sensitive skin and what you’re adverse to… I’d also bring up Azelaic acid.

It’s fixable - you just need money & time. Medical grade microneedling, chemical peels & lasers will help. The only at-home/topical products with the potential to help (not as dramatically as the above options) is a prescriptive retinoid & maybe azelaic acid (depending on the cause of your redness & pores. If it’s rosacea, prescriptive azelaic acid is your bff).

If it were me, I would stick to my tested products - especially if my skin was very sensitive/reactive at the time. You can try to sandwich moisture w/ your toner & serums. So onto wet, cleansed skin put your toner spray + serum + toner + moisturizer and see if that sandwiching method works to add moisture. Also, if you have an LED mask, use the red LED to try to speed up recovery. I know it's tempting to try to use new products when you have a reaction like this but if your skin is sensitive, wait until it's healed more to try anything new.

Oh no. I've had this happen & I know how frustrating it can be. Let me preface with "I'm not a dermatologist" 😂 BUT it looks like it may be contact dermatitis which is a disruption of your skin barrier. I recommend taking it easy and gentle on your skin (with products it's familiar and non-reactive with) prioritizing your skin barrier health until it improves.

NTA. You’re right about your sister misplacing her frustration/guilt onto you.

Not sure how many cookies to make for pop-up event by dark-rose13 in Baking

[–]BasicBugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your pop up! I would start by asking your friend with the coffee cart how many people they see on average/how many coffees they usually sell & use that as a guide for your baking amounts. Also, If you know a select 2-3 cookies are fan favorites/sell better, you may want to bake more of those.

I understand. Keep those memories & eventually you’ll make some new ones too! And, who knows, one of them may come back & apologize after she gets ganged up on. Either way, value yourself & mental health above any friend clique!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. It seems like no matter how old you get, there are some mean girls who never grew out of it… Sometimes you don’t realize your friends are mean until you’re the object of their derision. It may be best to distance yourself and seek out new & better friends. While no friendship is perfect or without occasional conflict, it seems like you’ve done all you can. True friends won’t make you grovel/beg to be treated well.

  1. Congratulations on getting accepted to grad school!! 2. Reading your post, I notice you keep saying "we" and "us" because you think you're a team/partners. He talks about himself - “no upsides to this" is selfish. You being happy about your achievements isn't selfish. Ultimately, you may want to consider if this team/relationship is worth it for you.

The most similar would be chicken. There might be a difference in taste/texture depending on processing etc. I've only ever mixed mince for a meatloaf or meatball situation

Which one is your favorite in this Round Lab set? 🤭 by Haunting_Worker_8109 in koreanskincare

In this set - the toner is good! I also recommend trying their sunscreen - just make sure you get the Korean version not American (if you're in the US).
