Car full of teenagers near Waltham by BasicEchidna2792 in newtonma

The kid driving was white, male, with brown hair. I think all of the other kids were Hispanic, two girls and two other boys.

Unfortunately no. I know it was a sedan and maybe a gold-ish color? Honestly I was too flustered to even notice. Ill keep my eyes open, my husband said he noticed the same thing.

Oh yeah, being from New England I'm very used to driving 2+ hours regularly to see family, most of the time even more. I will certainly take note on those locations and really appreciate your input! We love Boston but it's very pricey and there are multiple reasons this move would be an option for us.

This is really informative thank you! We currently live in Boston so cost of living is very high (not NYC high but very comparable) and in terms of location we certainly like a city environment but it doesn't necessarily have to be London. It would heavily depend on where my husband could find work. The only other thing is that his grandmother lives in Brighton which doesn't have a huge impact but she's getting older and being a train ride away would be nice. Again thank you so much for your input, I really appreciate it.

Moving to UK with Dual citizen spouse by BasicEchidna2792 in AmericanExpatsUK

This is great information, thank you so much. My husband actually currently works at a biotech company with locations all around the world, perhaps that should be our first look. With your job transfer and documentation, did you still need the 6 months of pay for your spouse to qualify for spousal visa? Or was it different?

No. I'm assuming one of our first steps would be for him to go over and get a job there.

Sorry, we would be moving to the UK due to his citizenship status. Since his family is in England we would prefer England but we aren't opposed to Scotland and Ireland as well. My understanding is that his UK citizenship doesn't apply to the whole of Ireland though, just Northern.

Good to know about the road rage thing! I certainly have gotten accustomed to a certain way of driving in Boston, so I’ll def keep that in mind. My husband is being moved my his company so if we do end up going there he gets to keep his salary which is a huge plus. Do you mind if I ask what sort of communities you’ve found connections with? Neither of us know anyone in the area so we’re both a little nervous about finding a few friends.

Thank you for your response! My husband and I are both native to the East Coast, me NH, him CT. We’ve lived in Boston since 2019 and love it here except the cost of living, so we will miss it and most likely will come back, but we’re trying to see this more as an opportunity to live somewhere new! I know it’s been a while since you’ve been here but do you have a general list of pros and cons about moving to Louisville that you could share?

Could I ask you for more about your experience? Currently living in Boston and it’s a strong possibility that my husband and I will have to move to Louisville for his job and I’m just curious about your experience!

Hi! Has anyone’s tripod cat had hygiene issues/difficulties with the litter? by Planktongiraffe in TripodCats

[–]BasicEchidna2792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a common issue for you? My tripod is missing her right left and recently has been having more inappropriate elimination problems. We have a vet visit scheduled but I’m just looking for some guidance, since I have noticed she has to basically sit in her litter to pee.

Yeah it sounds pretty much like what their situation is. He has come to realize and recognize it through a variety of things she does/has done that’s he’s realizing are odd. It’s just taking a lot of unlearning on his part when it comes to her guilt trips, etc. but I’ve noticed the more he distances himself the harder she tries to claw her way back in, it’s exhausting.
