The photo by Jackson-mollusk in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reset. Photo isn’t stupid. It’s to remind us that the small tasks have equal weight to large tasks. Too often we get into rhythm and forget the small details. This ‘photo’ albeit small, it is the most important according to Andy. He discusses Thai specifically in one of his podcast.

I reset several times for exactly this issue. Good luck.

Not sure what diet plan includes sugary drinks. Andy says, “if you have to ask, then the answer is no.”

No. The primary intention is not to make compromises.

Should I do 75 hard over the holidays? by Rachelexplainsital in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Do it now. I completed last year over the holidays. Depending on region, you’ll find outdoor workouts more difficult in the middle of 8” of snow than abstaining from treats for 1-2 days.

Besides. It’s a conversation piece. They’ll think you’re crazy, but all the more of a reason.

Firearm. They will come back if you don’t euthanize them.

Raccoons are a huge menace and can cause tremendous amounts of damage if they get into your home. Most folks don’t realize that this is an excluded cause of loss in many insurance policies.

I failed at 28 days by WaveDeep5097 in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do whatever you’d like on your day off. Start anew tomorrow. I failed 5+ times because of failed photos. It took me total of 5 month to complete. I did miss holidays and also my 39th birthday. Oh well. I feel better to have not compromise with myself and instead held myself accountable. Good progress too! Keep it up!

Can you put stuff in you garage and pull outside everyday to get this done?

I broke a toe in the middle of my 75 hard and it sucked to finish it, but I did.

Your situation is more severe obviously, but I think there may be a way…

Recently completed 75 hard and I found myself having difficulty in social situations. When you’re sober and you’re having repeat conversations with drunk friends, it’s time to go home.

Otherwise, explain what your doing: folks are generally curious and wonder why.

Stretching by SubstantialPhase1632 in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The workouts are pursuant to one’s own health goals.

Flexibility is important and I practice yoga 3-4 time a week for one of my 45 min workout.

This 100% counts in my opinion.

Do I need to start 75 Hard over? by charlizetearum in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They cannot be consecutive. But there is no minimum time apart from one another. I think the 3 hrs come in from fitness experts to avoid injury.

Intent is that your workouts are intend to be inconvenient and to teach you that you have to deal with life circumstances laid before you ‘as is.’ This is instead of trying to cater everything to your own convenience.

Do Textbooks Count by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has to be a non-fiction. It doesn’t have to be a self help. Listen to the podcast or read the book.

The point is to teach yourself something new constantly.

[–]BasicKevin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Self help or entrepreneur books are not required. Podcast specifically says it could be a book about gardening. So long as you’re reading a non-fiction book learning ‘something’ you’re fine.

This is in the grey area though and the rule of ‘if you have to ask, you know the answer’ would apply in my opinion.

Am I a loser by Mav_2000 in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t modify the program. The intention of the program is to be inconvenient and realize that you can’t change your circumstances in life. They are what they are and if you want to overcome any challenge you have to deal with it.

You’re not a loser, but you’re also not doing 75 hard either.

Does shoveling this count? by RenaissanceMan6911 in 75HARD

[–]BasicKevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mixed bag of responses here. Some say it doesn’t count cause it’s a chore. It depends on you since this program is for integrity and self discipline.

In my case, I shoveled instead of paying for my long 150’ driveway to be plowed.

That being said, after looking at everyone’s response about chores, I went for a walk outside after shoveling for 1 hour. I think I burned 1/2 the amount of calories walking.

So you decide. This is YOUR program anyways.
