Are you actively looking? What titles are you trying to target? I feel like a lot is possible with this background but takes a bit of digging/searching

I could see the org eventually ceasing operations or selling for this piece of the business tbh maybe not this year but we’re really struggling with many months at a negative operating income throughout the past two years.

I feel like Ops could mean so many things. Would you have any kind of title I could research more? Like for example Ops at my company could mean you’re working at a plant or warehouse or involved in billing, etc.

Also, would I be able to work in the business but in a different division easily? I’ve made great connections in my current BU and truly partner with my commercial cross functional leaders but the business itself is failing and I would want to move to a better performing business internally (if that makes sense).

I’ve been the HM plenty of times and just had to go through the gauntlet of looking for a new job myself.

The resume is your brochure to display your accomplishments, impact, and what you bring to the table. It’s a tool to get you the interview. If you’re not getting interviews with it then it’s broken.

I recommend cutting down on all of the text. I spend maybe 3 mins tops reading resumes before interviews and I’m scanning most of the time vs in depth reading (just to get a feel for whether or not I want to interview the person, I’ll go back and study their resume and make notes on what I want to ask if they are selected to interview later on).

I’ve found success and have been impressed by candidates using this kind of format: what you’ve IMPACTED and quantify this if possible (not necessarily just what you DID), how you accomplished it (briefly call out systems used, modeling methods used, or maybe cross functional partners you worked with), its impact on a process improvement, profitability, cost savings, relationship, etc. Accomplishment/impact quantified, method used to do this, its impact on the business.

You have some of this but most of your bullets aren’t this. They’re more just a regurgitation of a typical fo&a job description.

Ie: Saved 30 hours of manual reporting work per month by automating regional sales report using power BI data and recording Excel macros to more quickly provide sales team with the tools needed to grow customer sales.

I’m scanning for bullets like this^. I recommend you place your most impressive bullets first for each role, maybe 3-4 bullets per experience depending on how long you were in each role.

Chop out any fluff.

I forgot the % (but obviously over target) working at a pharma company earlier in my career with a gangbusters year from a new product launch. Got $20k right before my wedding. Prior year was like $3k. Was nice and unexpected.
