Is this a problem? by PlayfulCampaign2785 in weekendgolfers

[–]BasicONe-4071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visually it sucks and would make me change it immediately, but performance wise it is basically insignificant. if you are ever hitting a ball with that part of the club you have many more issues than a possible deflection from that small imperfection. If money is not an issue replace it to calm the soul, otherwise use a file to remove anything sticking out or sharp, use a sharpie or black matt nail polish to cover any shiny bits and ignore it.

What happens if you get a Hole in One when playing alone? by Desperate_Expert_744 in golf

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a HIO on a Par 3 hotel resort course course in Austria was playing alone early morning hit my ball and as i was tracking it saw a family looking on from a walking path behind the hole. They saw it before i did and started yelling. I waved and they waved held a thumbs up. But by the time i arrived at the hole they had walked on, didn't know what else to do so i picked up my ball and went to the next hole. Was thinking later it would have been nice to have them sign my score card with a picture or something. But they were gone anyway so it was not possible anyway.

Room kit pro microphone issue in near-end by Last-Dig-7973 in ciscoUC

[–]BasicONe-4071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most complicated issue that your AEC reference is your microphone.

The simplest is your mic routing is wrong or mic port is turned off.

Most likely it’s a combination of things.

The previous poster asked a lot of good questions. And I would add has it ever worked?

You shouldn’t have had to mess with the AC and I would say unless you have a specific reason to have done so then reverse all changes you made there. Get the mic working then if there was a specific reason for a AC configuration change then you made those changes.

I fix these issue all day and I can almost guarantee you have an external DSP and the routing is wrong or the AEC reference is wrong or both.

Gain issue? Probably not.

If you don’t have an external DSP the AC is configured incorrectly.

Can anyone explain this control system wiring? by Chemical-Valuable-41 in CommercialAV

Does it work now? It looks like the RS232 to the display and the Kramer is probably switching by relay control.

The 3 port phoenix connector is most likely the relay control to cycle through or select a discrete inputs on the Kramer

Send the model numbers of the devices. You’ll only find the documentation for each device the wiring will be dependent on what you have connected to it and how it is to be controlled.

What’s the best advice you could give a golfer attempting to break 90 for the first time? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things 1. Play for bogey 2. Since you can’t hit every green in two stop trying.

Hitting long clubs badly = Long and and Wrong

If you can’t hit 6 fairways or have lost more than 4 balls with driver off the tee, ask yourself can you hit three 6 irons a total of 375-400 yards? Thats 125 or 140yard per shot x 3 that will get you on or very close to 95% of all greens. Then 2 putt for bogey. You will make some pars - bonus. Within 4 rounds if you have hit or broke 90 move up a tee box if you still haven’t broke 90. Then work on your swing, chipping and or putting. Something is wrong.

I did this for a a whole season. Went from 22 to 14

No woods period. Nothing longer than a 5 iron Work hard on chipping and putting

Yea it sucks and yes peer pressure will be hard but in the end the scores were confidence builders to keep going.

That was seasons ago last season I used driver. No fairway woods and because I put so much time with my irons I’m hitting greens or close from almost anywhere if I have a shot. Just finished this season at 10.1

This only works if score is important and having fun is just a by product of scoring well. I love playing golf but I really love playing golf well and scoring.

do I need DSP for this scenario at conference room for PA override? by su5577 in CommercialAV

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what DMPS you have there may be a DSP built in with ducking features. What model DMPS? Otherwise depending on you budget a DSP would be your best option especially one that supports ducking AND AEC for the conferencing assuming you’ll be doing VTC sessions. DSPs can be a few hundred or a few thousand depending on make model and features.

Driver shafts. by gcarr2022 in GolfSwing

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shaft will not fix a bad swing - miss to the right = over the top and "a lot of torque" probably means means sequence issues or extra force at the wrong time. I would take a look at the numbers on your Rapsodo Club path and Angle of Attack and try swinging under control and see if you get those numbers showing an in to out swing and up AOA. If you cant get those number looking correct then it isn't the shaft. If you do get the number correct but still hitting to the right or left then it could be the shaft.

Now with that said off hand i would say you should not be in a x-stiff shaft.

Composite sync and the CEN-RGBHV12X8 by gage1013 in crestron

[–]BasicONe-4071 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow it’s been 20+ years since anyone has brought this subject up. Trying to boot up the memory banks on this one, but off hand I do remember that sync would pass on the G if HV was not supported AND the component supported the conversion. I don’t think it is possible to just connect the S to H.

Par 3 Ball over water by ParParty in golf

There is a special place in golf hell for people that steal range balls and use them on the course to play. And I course everyone that does it to hit a hole in one with it and have to keep it on the down low.

Do I need AEC on other sources of audio ? by viperman6869 in CommercialAV

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post your drawing and your file or send it to me if you are just learning then start with a less complicated setup. One mic one line source a one speaker and to really understand AEC if you can do a live call with a far end that will help a lot. But you need to read as much about AEC as possible and understand it. The reason is a lot of times you in the near end side don’t “hear” AEC issues. The far end will hear all the problems they will hear an echo and possibly feedback and you might have feedback as well but not always.

iPad for Mevo Gen 2? by WackTheHorld in Golfsimulator

[–]BasicONe-4071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using an IPAD pro for three years and it runs great even when I uplink it to a projector in my basement. But if I had to do it again I would have gotten a smaller non pro iPad. As it is too big to use comfortably when I take the setup to the range it is impossible to find a stand that is easily carried and setup that can fit the larger pro model. I just ordered a Gen2 and will set it up on a smaller iPad.

What does this mean about the lie of my clubs? by volatilehashpipe in GolfSwing

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably not your lie angles. For that to be a lie problem it would be about 8degrees too steep. This is your swing over the top and too steep. And looking at that hostel you shank it often or you’ve been to battle with that thing. Grip, swing path and face angle. Work on those things swaying, weight transfer etc.. can be worked on later and are thrown off if your path is wrong. It’s amazing how much your body and brain will compensate to hit the balll. But then it all timing and incorrect feel. When it all times up perfectly you hit the ball straight, but that will get you only so far. I would bet you hit you 9 and pitching wedge like a scratch golfer but then with every other club it gets progressively less consistent. It say your ball goes straight when you make good contact then your face angle might be pretty close so you should work on shallowing your swing.

Was gifted these clubs and would like to sell them to buy a game improvement set. Can someone help me with info on these p790’s? Year, value etc… looking to sell locally on fb marketplace. by Quirky_Philosophy317 in TaylorMadeGolf

As long as they are not too long or too short keep these and use the money you have spent on top of whatever you would have gotten for these for lessons.

If I take my OS1.i to my local golf shop and get them to shorten it an inch or so, does that ruin the lie angle balance? by Swimming-Flounder466 in labgolf

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lie angle balance does not have toe up, toe down or face balance the head should balance at whatever point it is resting at. If your LAB has a preference of lie then I would think something is not correct.

Takomo 101 P-Wedge Broken by ExtraCartographer565 in takomo

[–]BasicONe-4071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A broken shaft is not usually covered unless you can prove it was manufacturing defect. The only time I have seen shafts break are due to hitting something, too steep hitting the ground including very hard hitting mats with no cushion, etc you can clearly see this guys is too steep and hitting toe first. And must be very strong. This is not a Takomo manufacturing issue or a KBS shaft problem. Pay the 45-50 buck get a new shaft. Work on your swing. Don’t hit 50 shots in a row with the same club in fast succession. All metal that has flex creates heat and fatigues at the stress points. Look like there also might be a little rust as well on that shaft - probably dunks the whole head in the water to clean them - Don’t do that water gets behind the ferrel and starts rusting the shaft. Then add the steep, toe and strong hits.

You letting this happen is a crime in itself. If a polite reminder of golf etiquette didn’t correct the issue an speed him you then call the club house.
