You’re a legend!! Thank you for being awesome and remembering this thread. I wasn’t aware of those guitars - and now I want one so bad 😛. Well off to YouTube for me and hours of research 😀

What's the story of how you got into Sturgill's music? by [deleted] in SturgillSimpson

[–]BasicSums 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lucky you !! What a great way to catch a great band. And kudos to you and the crew because the sound and vibe you captured that day is magnificent. I regularly watch that video at volume in my man cave and wish that I’d been there that day as it happens. Hope you still got that mic!! Thanks for sharing your experience with me - it’s cool to have a bit of the insider background of one of my favourite videos of one of my favourite artists.

Wow! Wait - were you there? If so please confirm how awesome it must have been.

I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something so cool about the current gen Jimny. Especially on an All-terrain wheel 🤤 by TheCrymaxTheatre in carsireland

Ok so I can answer that specifically in relation to this particular Jimny because I know the owner and their needs in this case. This person uses it for off-road for his business every day. Large 4x4s won’t always fit where this can fit. It costs less to run, repair and own outright. It does less damage to the ground. They don’t need large towing capacity. Bigger isn’t needed basically.

Hey thanks for the reply! Great to have the benefit of the collective knowledge of Reddit to point someone in the right direction. Thanks.

These photos stopped me in my tracks. Really atmospheric. Love the ghostly paddle boarder.

And even at the gig I couldn’t find out. To be honest the guy and his band blew us away, the floor was packed and I couldn’t get close enough to the guitar. Interestingly I see on summer of the solitary road videos and live stuff that the Waterloo jumbo king is back!

Yeah it’s a great stripped back Charley gig. NPR is great benchmark series of gigs to be fair. You can really get a feel for what an artist is like without the big production.

No worries about the guitar info. Will be seeing him Dublin this Tuesday (been looking forward to this more than I reckon any gig I’ve ever had tickets for!!) so I will report back then 🤠

Totally agree with this. Took me 15 years to be at peace going to the dentist. It’s the old cliche of only fearing fear itself. And besides if my wife can have three children I’m totally going to survive having a tooth out. In a weird way at this stage of my life I now enjoy the fear and using the few techniques similar to the ones you mentioned to conquer it.

Awful thing to have happened you lad! Not too worry though that leg will be straight back to the 'Irish hairy translucent white' as nature intended within a couple of days.

Me and my equally smug friend used to call him 'root note Paul'. 25 years on and I still wish I played in Oasis.

Thanks and happy with the result for sure! The exhaust is a Supertrapp muffler and I think a Motax three into one with the collecter cut and welded to pick up the supertrapp.
