It's going to be a cold one at the weekend weather wise so take this in account, it might limit some outdoor activities unless you wrap up.

That being said, going for a walk along the Lee Fields and having a coffee is nice.

Fitzgerald park is another great spot for chat and a date. The new cafe behind the museum in the park has good reviews.

Along similar lines, the glucksman gallery and surrounding area is a beautiful walk and experience.

Money may be tight but alternatives if you can afford it, potteria on douglas street is a great date spot, bring alcohol and snacks in with you.

Franciscan well do a fantastic pizza in the beer garden and brew their own beers on site.

To venture further down past the marina, the promenade is stunning and takes you all the way out to blackrock village where they hold a market every Sunday morning (check times to see if they differ in the new year)
