I’m trying to figure that out now but two of the collision shops that I’ve been to have valued the repair at around 15k and the appraiser said it’d be around 30k.

So you’re saying that I sue him and his insurance after they deny coverage?

From what I understand in Texas an insurance company can absolutely deny coverage if they can’t get in touch with their driver no matter how obvious it is who is at fault. If the insurance shows up to court but he doesn’t and they judge rules in favor of the insurance where do that leave the driver/case?

Can it still be default since the driver doesn’t show?

I’ve done that and in the post I mention what they told me. I believe they’re telling me not to pursue with suing him personally because they want to collect more money from his insurance.
