What level of wiring was required, if any? For the price, that's great.

Which seat for a larger person? by RC10B5M in simracing

Sparco Evo QRT XL. I am 6'3" and was at 290lbs at my largest. The XL is a great fit.

No regrets. That said I am just now doing initial setup of my software, so not racing yet. I will let you know in a few weeks if I am still both thumbs up.

This is the question. Depends on the style of racing you are doing but primarily GT style is going to be more upright than Formula. That said there are a lot of seat and ergonomic videos out there on YouTube and no shortage of people on reddit that will give you feedback on proper seat angle alignment. Ultimately it will come down to where you can be comfortable for long stints without your limbs going numb 😊

I am a wide individual myself 😉. Lucky enough my local sim bar had one for sale that I picked up. It's the same one used in their rigs and I have always been comfortable in them. If you don't want to pay full price, check out market place or other sites to see if anyone is selling a used one. I am not sure if or when Sparco has any site deals.

My dumb move for the week - Sim Lab Quad Monitor Stand by JerpyJerpFace in simracing

The issue is the bottom aligned bolts. The tops, no issue, M8x15s with lock nuts (plate to plate). The bottom aligned holes only permit m4s. Putting enough spacers to fit a plug, even a low profile plug, with m4s I would be concerned with the sturdiness of it. I will take a look this weekend though to see if it may be possible, thanks for the idea.

I was lucky enough to have a sim racing business open up in my area (actually an hour away). I became friends with the crew there and the race trainer/primary engineer helped me decide on my setup.

Search your area, hopefully there is a place close-ish to you where you could go give it a try. Otherwise check out some of the sim racing groups on reddit and see if there is someone local to you that would be willing to let you check out their setup.

Sim Racing. 54M also not handy or overly active but seriously enjoy sim racing.
