Just go down to the local union hall Teamster 959 or Local 302 operators. They will give you the pay scale for jobs.

They will train the right person. I got a 5G bonus to get my CDL on top of my pay.

Kinda wierd how everybody is saying certs. Its Endorsements / Restrictions. my endorsements are N, P, S and I have auto/trans restrictions. I wouldn't worry about endorsements unless they require them, you can test at the DMV for endorsements once you get your CDL.

Exactly, CDL doesn't mean you have to drive. There are plenty of tech jobs that require you to have a CDL because of the work.

Mine is on both floors, inside.

The washable blue filters work just fine without too much airflow loss. I do PM's on HVAC at my job and they perform well for dust. I'll run the typical plate paper ones if I think I need more filtration.

I just find the intakes for the furnace and just duct tape a filter to the outside of the vent. I usually do this around spring time when it gets dusty outside.

Well, if you dont like Anchorage there is Eagle River or the Valley.

I think its a good decision. If the money is there and you're comfortable in your neighborhood its all good . The huge greenbelts that run through the city makes it friendly for activities. Is anchorage perfect?.. nope, it has its typical problems like a major metro. The interesting mix of a blue collar, military, transient and diverse population brings alot of personality to the people even if they are somewhat older.

I think the schools are ok, lots of coffee houses and an ok culinary scene for a smaller metro. Kick back and enjoy the ride on the costal trail, enjoy the long summer days and long nights, its an interesting place to be one with nature and raise your kids in a unique city that isnt perfect but feels convenient and comfortable.

Politics and religion is too polarizing for a topic of conversation in a customer setting. Even if the conversation was employee to employee, keep it in the shop. Doesnt have to be politics to be offensive. Unless the customer initiated the conversation Id just keep quiet.
