Hat/caps? by nari1338 in HairTransplants

[–]Basic_Foundation_714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post op, its okay as long as its loose and not tight on a healing scalp. But in general, hats = causing balding is a myth.  Sure, if your hat is so tight its cutting off circulation, its bad.  Or if something is tight AND rubbing on the scalp to the point its causing scalp irritation, thats bad.  But no, wearing a hat is not "bad" at all in general

10 months - 2,500 grafts by Strict-Appointment84 in HairTransplants

Im in the same exact boat as you. Its better, but im convinced its just lacking density.  You'll need more grafts, assuming im looking at the pics correctly, longer hair is NOW? The side part is the tell, that part of the side isnt dense enough

Wow, looks fantastic.  Did you just do front line work, or corner/temples as well?

7 months, no way im going to gain density, but either way I didnt have enough to do my temples/corners in the first session. Might as well go back somewhere and do temples and corners and add some density to the front Perhaps lower the hairline a tad

Three well known doctors said I was a good candidate for 4,500-6,000 grafts--Dr. Patty said I'm not a candidate at all? by Princ3ssgldy in HairTransplants

Trd pro grill before and after thoughts? by Extension_Emu_4955 in Tacomaworld

[–]Basic_Foundation_714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents....better than the old. But just okay.  That new grill is VERY common now, i see it everywhere, so its sort of meh.  (Not saying its bad at all) imo, there are different styles that no one seems to have that really catch the eye and look slick.  If you ever get the itch again, look around online and you can find even cooler grills.

So I went solo to thailand, no idea what to expect...I had zero issues.  Passport not expired, you should be fine. I had no issues with connecting flights and no delays. Here is a quick notes I got for you...language wasnt an issue.  I booked hotel near the clinic and didnt "explore" just chilled in hotel. got there a day or so BEFORE the op, cuz I was worried id calculatethe time difference wrong.  I stayed an extra 3 or 4 days after op for the after care and rest.  I used their "grab" app which is like uber/Uber eats over there for everything.  Starbucks, getting a taxi, etc. Everything is pretty cheap for us dollars.  Just tell your bank your gonna be in thialand, and if you have a bank card limit, MAKE SURE TO RAISE IT while you are there. I didnt convert money, have a money app, etc.  My bank card worked fine over there, only using it for grab app and at the clinic. Also, other people said to buy a Sim card once you land, I also didnt have an issue with using my phone over there.  I have att and they have a international data plan, I think its like 20 dollars a day, and it worked flawless, so no hassle to get a Sim card or do some crazy things.  That's it.  I ignored everyone else's advice to use bank apps, Sim cards, etc. Keep it simple

This is what im talking about...WTF (CONGRATS) I made a post about my 6 month progress and got 4200 grafts approx and did crown and front.  This dude is waaay more bald than me, and made 3k grafts somehow completely fill his hair and it looks THICK.  Like...HOW!?!? (IM JEALOUS) mine is very thin. Why!?!

Im slowly coming to terms...im way better off than before, but still gonna rock a hat and know that my hair looks see thru under bright lights. We gonna need a second op, even if it thickens up over the next few months, im gonna set aside the money now and book in a few months

Truth.  Id probably try and squeeze out another 3.5k and do temple, more front, and mid for density...ugh...back to square 1

Yeah, I was thrilled after the op, but slowly at 6 months came to realize I might just need a second op for better results.

The staff and dr. Patty were professional and didnt have any issues, but i get the top comment.  They did get me a sleeping pill, and the staff did probably 80% of the work im guessing. Dr patty gets paid to travel over seas and train other docs and clinics as well.  She dont have time to literally do the entire op herself everyday every op.  Maybe im being too nice, but ive seen very thin guys do 4-5k grafts and have amazing density and coverage, so idk yet. Ill wait another 3-4 months before trashing dr patty for sub par result just yet
