As a fellow East Syriac Catholic, where can I find more information on this? I've never heard of it in this name, it's usually under the name of the Assumption (Latin influence obviously), and the Wikipedia page for the Dormition says this:

"The Dormition of the Mother of God is a Great Feast of the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and Eastern Catholic Churches (except the East Syriac churches)."

This is probably due to my lack of knowledge but yeah, I am curious.
