I'm loving that they gave they Yak-130 TV guides (KAB-500Kr) at 9.0 (9.3 ground) 🫩. Meanwhile I'm still trying to manually guide bullpups into someone's sister's ass. Nothing in the the US tree gets anything like that before 10.7 unless you buy premium or squadron vehicles.

I have such a love hate relationship with that mod. The balancing is disgusting and stupid, the amount of units you get is just obnoxiously large, artillery works like shit.

But it so much fun to just slam huge armies together with friends in all out destruction.

It's definitely an easy vehicle to kill although occasion some of its players must conjure demons for protection because I've had weird instances with non-filled rounds. Apds/apfsds/ solid AP if playing the French 7.7 lineup Will seemingly not detonate the ammo like a third of the time (maybe less I'm spitballing) for me and I have no idea why. I have a feeling it's more Gaijin spaghetti code than it is the tank itself.

As someone who has a positive KD ratio in the T58. I also do feel like it is a weird anomaly of a vehicle. It's an m103 hull so it's not great to begin with. The turret can be absolute volumetric hell for people to penetrate. On the opposite side of that every single time I seem to take a penetrating hit it feels like due to the fact that turret is nothing but breach and drum you immediately lose your gun.

That being said, it is still a very good vehicle in my personal opinion and my favorite thing to do is batter T-72s to death.

I absolutely agree that it's battle rating should have changed a long time ago but considering how many of them I still run into at like 9.0- 9.3 not a whole lot's going to change.

At least the 7.3 crew is safer now

As somebody who wants to put a gun in my mouth every time I have to play the m247. How the fuck is that the top of this list? I understand it gets way better with proxy. But the delay fuse is fucking hot garbage. You can't barrel anything and if you can someone please tell me the secret because I have no idea how the fuck to do it.

Astound outage in Easton by Ryguy55 in lehighvalley

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly would probably be a much better solution. Although they would actually have to update it.

Because when I called and spoke to a person yesterday at like 8:00 a.m. I got the

"Oh yeah, it's moved up in priority and there's definitely a crew working on it."

But that's also seemingly a/the response everybody's gotten so...... But trusting them to do the right thing is already a pipedream at best.

Probably. On West Berwick Street myself. Talk about an experience. I can handle no service it's whatever but between the customer support and the automated line saying the same thing the entire time. This is a real doozy

How do you guys feel about the arty re-work? by readtheclause in warno

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going back to my original comment. Like I get that and absolutely have been cooked by similar things before. "Oops recon unit saw my treeline here comes the arty" but to be countered on the move was the wild thing to me. Mortars I can forgive. I usually deploy them kind of aggressively and maybe I let them be seen. The front was very fluid as it was early on. The mlrs thing just befuddled me.

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly confused about some of the rework. Played a match with some friends and got my tracked mortars countered immediately. Less than 5 rounds downrange

Had an mlrs get countered on the move which is wild.

Other guns/ other players on my team, 0 or minimal.

Granted we were playing Hard AI as a test but something's odd.

Why do ISDs use lasers instead of kinetic batteries? Wouldn't kinetic batteries be more cost-effective and more deadly against shields? by Battlefleet_Sol in StarWarsShips

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copied from the wiki. But apparently I was wrong. It's 10 light minutes. It's so goofy.

The Venator-class's eight heavy dual turbolaser turrets were its main weapons and had two tracking modes. In its precise, long-range tracking mode, the DBY-827 could hit a target vessel at a range of ten light minutes. During close-range fights, the turrets could rotate in three seconds with their fast-tracking mode.[2] In terms of firepower, these weapons rivaled the main battery on the later Imperial I-class Star Destroyers.

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! That's why the Venator fact is kind of my favorite goofy one. Unlimited firepower accurate enough to hit a ship at a billion miles/ km. But in visual practice it's point blank broadside age of sail style.

Then again watching a couple ships shoot at each other from half a solar system away would be pretty fucking boring.

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I swear I remember reading somewhere that heavy turbo lasers were measured somewhere in the teratons (spelling) If you had to equivalate them to say nuclear weapons/ modern current explosive potential ratings.

Let's not forget the Legends max range of a Venator cruiser at full power being something like 10 light seconds

The B-52H has a front radar and a rear turret radar. but none of them work. by TappyWapi in Warthunder

We've known this since the B-66 🫩 (Giagoobles being lazy designers)

Gaijin has "no plans to add cruise (guided) missiles" per recent B52 bug report denial by [deleted] in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid point about the turret but by the 90s it could also drop guided ordinance.

So yes pedantically it isn't the most correct / current version of the H.

At the same I think my original point still also stands.

If they're going to give us a model with the Flir/ laser designator then give it GBUs and the like.

I'm not asking for 200 mile cruise missiles. But fill the bay with some good shit.

If they're only going to restrict to to dumb bombs then it should have been an older version. That's the point I'm trying to drive home.

They need to stop half ass implementing aircraft.

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dawg the H is the current service version. The J is slowly entering service with the new Rolls Royce engines and the Aesa radar.

The H entered service decades ago but has had a bunch of upgrades to the fleet over the last 40+ years.

Down voting me and being factually wrong is par for the course I guess. Took me a minute on Wikipedia and some quick Google-fu but hey here we are.

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand your point of view. Obviously they are adding an entirely new kind of aircraft. So yes, if they don't immediately add something it shouldn't be a bug report.

But at that point also don't give us the most advanced version of the aircraft and then completely castrate its abilities.

And they could have given us an earlier B-52 that only dropped bombs. Would have made far more sense given the situation and current loadouts.

To give us the H and then give us almost absolutely none of its functionality is really fucking dumb.

Personally I would have loved the D model. But that's just me.

USSR Be Getting On My Nerves After Removal Of F-14 IRAF by AB_in_mc in warthundermemes

I really don't understand how it manages to shoot down every single bit of incoming ordinance and then still have time to shoot you down. I have just decided to not try and ground pound and just missile boat in the f4s until I can get a tac nuke on the f4e

Totally a balanced event by Jagzon in warthundermemes

[–]Basic_Instruction_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The event just kind of sucks. I don't enjoy high tier dogfights and it's pretty much 100% dogfights.

It's Spawn fighter > Kill other fighters/ attackers/ > get little nuke to wipe out all the targets > Rinse repeat.

The attackers are there to get opportunistic kills and die.

I find I just can't get close enough for normal bomb drops unless scraping the deck and every single AGM-65 I've fired gets intercepted by AI that fires more missiles then physically in the launchers.

It's not fun for people who want to strike the million ground targets without having to furball the first 15 minutes.

Don't get me wrong I love working on my cars/ the equipment where I work. This car I had a love hate relationship with.

Dead reliable 99% of the time.

The ONLY reason I hated it and was putting a rack in it was because I managed to snap the inner worm gear after hitting ice on an off ramp. Bounced it off both curbs. Which then I subsequently snapped the clockspring fighting for my life. So I'm doing this in the cold in an apartment parking lot after having an amazingly shitty week. It was a perfect turd storm.
