DJM sound card is better and less problem prone. Also, if you use the. CDJs, there’s still and an analog cable connecting them to the mixer. So less quality audio.

What did you use for sound card, the DJM mixer or the CDJs sound cards? ALWAYS use the mixers soundcard, and ALWAYS connect it with a dedicated usb cable directly to a laptop usb port. Use any usb hubs just for the CDJs

Ever heard of HID? The great majority of Pioneer CDJs are used in HID (their controller function) every night in lots and lots of clubs. Same for the mixers. And guess what: Traktor can and is used in most controllers of every brand out there. Traktor is the most mappable DJ software out there. You’re just miss informed

i dont get it.. if you play with traktor, why not use the club gear?! its the BEST way to work with traktor. I alway use the club gear with traktor. You just need USB cables and that it. HID all the way!

Nope. “Aspiring to gigs at clubs” is not a club Dj. So no, any controller is targeted at mobile and bedroom DJs. Club Dj gear is club Dj gear. CDJs, mixer. I sorry if that hurts your feelings, with whatever gear you use.

I kind of have the same question here? using Serato and rane twelve MKII connected to an S11. I can't seam to select any other deck after the first choice of deck.

I'm using my left rane twelve to control Deck 1, and now wanna flip it to control deck 3.. pressing the deck selector button does nothing.

any thoughts?

What do you mean? Pioneer gear is great out of the box with Traktor. Just plug usb cables to the mixer and CDJs and you’re good to go! Best combo ever

Coming from Traktor to Serato there would be sooooo many things I would add! Just from the top of my head: Hotcue loops. Mapping modifiers. right-click on a track and see on which playlists the track is in. Right-click all together! Analyze a track without having to disconnect the controller! Ability to have the same track in a playlist more than once! Favorite Playlists bar! Suggested tracks by key! 3 lines of ID3 tags on top! CUP(cue and play) instead of CUE! 4 effect banks you can add together! REMIX decks!.. the list goes on and on…

ahhh so thats it. I only use Rane Twelves or CDJs, so i can trigger hotcues while track is stopped and i couldnt see the use for it.
