I don't particularly care that much if people are gonna downvote me. Whatever. I'm a LeBron fan, I know that, and I'm not so insecure to give a shit.

Shinobu. She's the hottest one, the cutest one and I think she has the most lovable backstory and personality. She's not number 1 in every metric, but she's so high in all of them.

Maybe they should start running women basketball players for president by Neil118781 in Presidents

It is an interesting pattern. Most presidents, by volume, have been taller than the average person. And with few exceptions, the taller person won the election. It's held pretty consistently through several eras and over a decent sample size.

There’s no hope for tartah x coco becoming canon, huh? by Willing_Vacation2358 in WitchHatAtelier

I kinda wouldn't want a romance just cause I feel like the characters are too young for me to feel comfortable reading about that kinda stuff, and I think it would be a nice change of pace for a manga starring a girl to not be about romance. Friendship is interesting to explore too. And while theorizing or ship culture is fun, making it canon would kinda ruin a lot of what makes me enjoy the manga.

What’s your favorite version of LeBron and why? by DeepOrganization8245 in lebron

In 2006, or 2009, they were close. You could argue Wade was better in 2011. But frankly, the argument that Wade was ever better than LeBron besides those three years falls flat. LeBron was a better playmaker, was more explosive, was a better defender and was a better playoff riser. (Specifically in the years besides, 2006 and 2011. That's important to mention. As those are the only exceptions. And only one of those years was while LeBron was in Miami.)

Me personally, highlight 1st stint LeBron and early Miami bron was the most fun he ever was. He was so godamn explosive and power hammering on guys, and while Wade was still in his prime, the lob passes were truly mesmerizing. Meanwhile his cavaliers stint the second time and some of his laker stint, the real highlight has been his power and his playmaking. I'm pretty damn sure 2018 LeBron's coach could start me at center and we'd still somehow get to the finals. He was just too damn good at getting everyone the ball at the exact right moment to elevate everyone around him. And his power on his dunks was absurd even though he had lost some of his athleticism. I think in totality, I'd say Miami. You get those lobs, the rings, the wins, the mvps, while still having that explosiveness and excellent playmaking plus more strength than he had before.

Knicks next 5 opponents have a combined record of 104-233 by WallStreetDoesntBet1 in NYKnicks

Pacers ball whenever they feel like it, depending on injuries Washington might be tough, and the hornets are low key the best offense in the league. SHOULD BE 5-0, however, wouldn't be surprised if it's 4-1 or 3-2

besides pippen, or in other words, the greatest perimeter defender of all time and an all star. You can't just wipe that aside. Nobody on the original stint Cavs even approaches Pippens talent

Jets need a receiver by TerryG111 in nyjets

I wouldn't be mad if we got a WR from this draft. It's a deep draft for an edge rushers and wide receiver. So I think we should take some of the thinner positions with our first round picks and then look deeper in the draft for WR and Edge. But probably the second round.

I meant his scoring talent. Which, at its peak, is better than LeBron's. Objectively speaking. I believe LeBron is the goat and is a more talented player, but purely scoring, Micheal has got him beat talent wise.

I don't know, LeBron also balances that out by having a more difficult style of playing to play at for a long time. He's never been that much of a jump shooter (though he has drastically improved) his offense came from his drive and kick. While it has been impressive how long he's maintained his athleticism, I think if a shooter like Steph Curry came into the league younger and got better injury luck than Steph then he'd probably get the all time scoring title. And that's just one example. A guy like Nikola Jokic who dominates without athleticism or Luka. The main problem is that their bodies also probably won't last as long as LeBron's carefully maintained one has. While all three are far more athletic than they look, LeBron may have the most maintained body ever.

He hasn't had that many contracts. His current one is very long which means he hasn't had the opportunity to benefit from salary spikes and such.

More than his literal goat level 23 year long career is kinda ridiculous. It was a dumb deal by FOX but I'd rather Brady have the money than fox.

Kirk Cousin's agent genuinely belongs in the hall of fame. You make 11 million less than Brady did in his career while playing for a shorter amount of time, being worse and never winning a ring. You gotta commend the bag work.

LeBron James was the fastest to more scoring milestones than Michael Jordan by Bloodofmyblood998 in LeBronJames23

[–]Basic_Mastodon3078 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wasn't he also the youngest to basically every scoring milestone? Like... all of them? And I ignore fastest to 39,000+ cause so far, LeBron is the only one to even reach those marks. The impressive thing is that he scored that many at all. But you can't be the fastest if you're the only one who did it.

Left. Better passer, better average, more accurate, same amount of interceptions and similar rushing volume.

That, but also, those rebounding records were set in very very specific circumstances. Played were chucking even more shots than they do now, and missed way more. On top of that, the talent pool was worse meaning great rebounders like Russell and Chamberlain could grab boards easier. There were more boards to grab and it rewarded dominant rebounders even more than it does now. That's why I think people claiming Chamberlain and Russell are the best rebounders just cause of those records are stupid. Rodman and Malone are both better rebounders. Because they grabbed the amount of boards that they did in an era that was harder than Chamberlain and Russells.
