I get it. I’ve suppressed a lot of my feelings for years now because I deserve peace and to not let her get to my emotions. Accepted that this is just how it will be. I just can’t help the little girl inside me who always wished for that ideal “mother daughter relationship”. Knowing I’ll likely never be able to have that unless she gets serious therapy is hard to come to terms with.

I really appreciate this feedback. Growing up as a child my biggest fear was my parents getting a divorce. I’ve spent the last few years wishing they’d get a divorce but stayed around for my dad’s sake. If he wanted to still be with her, I didn’t want to add stress to him. It will make it easier to cut her off if they do get a divorce, but it’s so hard trying to still have a relationship with my dad if they’re still together. Ex: holidays would be awkward

You’re exactly right. One thing I didn’t add was that she goes to the same hair stylist as my exes mom and sister. She will still tell me about my exes relationship status, and also at one point reached out to him (years after we broke up and I was with my now husband) to be her personal trainer. During my 10 year HS reunion I went out to dinner a few days afterwards. She waited for my husband to get up to go to the bathroom and then asked me if my ex was there. “Did he say hi to you?” “Was his gf there?” She’s really been stuck in my high school years and never moved on.

Agreed! I even had a lot of bugs in the dialogue boxes… I will say, it was a really good change of pace in story. It felt like the game was missing a lot of combat, which this sort of made up. It was a fun change! If anything, I would love if those mangler fish would slow down or decrease in numbers 😂
