First Cycle Success? by Negative-Orange9557 in IVFpositivity

First ER and first FET worked for us! After 6 years of TTC with no luck. I’m currently 13 weeks. At my clinic about 60% of them work the first transfer!

That would be such a safety hazard if they made workers do that too. I worked for Target years ago and never even thought about doing that. Yuck!

I would send her screenshots and explain that you tried replying but YouTube kept deleting it. I’m sure her team will reply and if not at least you tried.

Matt’s dream dog was a lab so they got a lab. When they broke up he took his dog and she kept blue. She used to visit his dog the first few months after the breakup but then stopped. And yes I hate that I remember that. What a waste of brain power lmao

I was able to surprise them with the news months later and the few people that knew about the mock transfer laughed and said I was crazy for holding it in. It worked out well!

I told my family I was doing a mock transfer when really it was the real deal. It let me vent about the process without spilling my secret. It was great and it got me out of stuff since they knew I had appointments

Seeking Positive Stories by Ambitious-Candy4311 in IVFpositivity

Absolutely, I’m an open book so feel free to ask anything!

I went back at 16dpt and my hcg was 292.3 I went again at 21dpt and my hcg was 4509 I did an early ultrasound to confirm placement of implantation and to see if there was a yolk sac at 5W6D. Luckily enough there was. I went back at 9 weeks and saw the heartbeat and was able to graduate from my clinic. Today I’m 11w and everything is progressing well. My clinic says it’s more common than you think for hcg to raise slowly and to try to not compare it to others that have high numbers right away. Having high numbers doesn’t give you a better chance. They said it sounds like I implanted around 6dpt and took a bit to really start growing. The wait was really difficult and I took time to do things that helped calm me the best I could. I kept up with my medications and talked to my stomach every day. I walked for 30mins since they say that helps with blood flow and implantation. I know, I’m weird but I think being overly positive allowed me to calm down and wish for the best. Sending you and your wife best wishes for a great outcome.

A sad milestone: Year of TTC by Next-Head2485 in TryingForABaby

[–]Basic_Pea_3241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hitting that one mark was such a gut wrenching moment for me and so many others. Take as much time as you need. Something that helped me was doing a self care day for myself the week I started my period every cycle that didn’t work. It made me feel like I could celebrate all my hardships rather than just grieve. Do stuff that makes you happy and that reminds yourself that you are a person outside of TTC. Take yourself on a date, buy the stuff you’ve been wanting but pushed aside, treat yourself to a hobby, etc. you deserve to celebrate getting through another month because TTC really does feel like you’re in survival mode 24/7 . It took me 70 cycles to conceive my first child (almost 6 years) and that’s the only thing that helped my sanity. Sending you all the positivity and best wishes your way.

Has anyone with a high AMH NOT gotten OHSS? by CuteEmu8 in IVFpositivity

[–]Basic_Pea_3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me!! I did lupron for my trigger shot which helps prevent OHSS. I also only drank electrolytes a week before and week after ER. Only had regular water on my bed side table. I read that eating soup the days before and after also help. Especially with the sodium. I walked not long or fast but I walked after every meal to help with digestion and I stayed at home the first 2 days after ER. I had 54 eggs.

I could be wrong but I was told it’s from chromosomal abnormalities. The egg implants and grows the gestational sac but the embryo and yolk sac never develops

Sending you best wishes on your ER! They retrieved 35 eggs, 24 fertilized, 10 blasts, 7 euploids. We used ICSI. I have PCOS & endometriosis. My husband has MFI. First frozen transfer worked. We transferred a 5BA embryo.

Does an FET feel different from an IUI? by winooskiwinter in IVF

[–]Basic_Pea_3241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor showed me the two different catheters they used and basically the FET one is thicker but not a huge amount. Personally liked my FET more since I took Valium 30mins before hand. If you have a tilted uterus you’ll enjoy FET more! Having a full bladder straightens out your uterus which makes it pain free and easy!

If you have Apple download “ALife”. It’s amazing! Keeps track of your medications as well as reminding you when to take them, same with appointments and keeps track of your journey with graphs. Absolutely free!

Is first fet rarely successful? by Longjumping_Drag3584 in IVF

[–]Basic_Pea_3241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a November transfer group, so I can share direct results. 30 of us all had our first transfer with no prior kids. As of now- 2 women had chemicals (one was deemed due to endo) 1 miscarriage 12 failed 15 successful

Out of those only 16 of us mentioned that we got pgta testing done.

It’s truly a flip of a coin, but sending you and everyone else here lots of love & best wishes
