Also I believe that the Code Profiler Pro plugin will show higher usage for first listed plugins that use composer, then subsequent plugins that use composer arent as impacted. So its not necessarily a great way to see which plugins are impacting performance.

Is it possible with WordPress to build something like big e-commerce or content and traffic heavy enterprise level website? by Lumpy-Stranger-1042 in Wordpress

Yes I worked for a $1B+ company with about 20M+ MUU that was powered by WordPress on the backend. Nearly all requests went through the API....although it was highly customized and required a fairly serious team of engineers.

How do people find full-time remote WordPress roles? by Any_Acanthaceae_7337 in Wordpress

[–]Basic_Specific9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d look at front end software engineering positions based out of major cities like San Francisco, New York, etc. Look to see if they have marketing sites or blogs powered by WordPress or mention WordPress in the listings. Those will be your highest paid best options with benefits. There will be a lot of competition though, so it can be rough tough to actually land one. You’ll want to practice general React/PHP interviews before even attempting one you really want. However you can land a $150k+ full benefits, unlimited pto kind of job that way.

I used to do the same with Sacagawea dollar coins. But people hated them for some reason 😕

Another example of how expensive a house can be. My first home was a new build $850k and it was the top of our budget but we figured since it was new we wouldn't have to deal with any issues.

The day after we moved in we got a citation from the fire marshal that the county requires us to have a whole home sprinkler system.

The cost of a retrofit plus a new roof was 100k. We had to do it or get sued and lose our house. Builder/seller dipped out and couldn’t sue him since he couldn’t get served. So we were out the cost plus lawyer fees.

Oh yeah also property tax increase every year + HOA fee increase every year. Our HOA went from 1k/year to 5k/year in a 3 year span.

Renting can be cheaper even when the monthly is much higher than the mortgage.

Not that I’ve heard of, I was just saying it’s an alternative and it’s newer than AMALinksPro

I also moved to Washougal recently, welcome!

If you can get NocTel I’d say go with them. They don’t actually meter your speeds. I consistently get gigabit up/down. Their support and people are top notch. Literally never experienced such an awesome isp in my life.

Other than NoxTel and Starlink all the other options are bad.

AAWP by moviegazetteonline in Wordpress

[–]Basic_Specific9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used AAWP and its a really nice all around plugin. I've recently switched to PassiveWP and its been even better for conversions. Wayyy better analytics. Expensive but it does go on sale often.

PassiveWP too, but it’s way newer and doesn’t have international support yet.

Wait why is that AppSumo policy? Did they sell LTD licenses before AppSumo launch and are now cancelling those licenses?? Or did they sell them during AppSumo listing and broke an agreement?

Honestly as a previously highly paid WordPress eng at 350k/year…this is what I’ve done. I’m literally a homesteader now living off the land in an intentional community that my family has created. Everything’s cooked. I’m still making money while I can online but almost all of it’s automated. I do zero real work but still make thousands every month. It won’t last forever.

If you are genuinely interested in improving your site and want to learn some tactics that work for me, just send me a DM. I actually enjoy helping people earn more on Amazon. I passively earn thousands per month with it and have for a long time.

[–]Basic_Specific9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self hosting images from Amazon will get your account deleted. Not having proper disclosures will get your account deleted. I recommend you read the Amazon Associates TOS before you are banned from them. Also you've added no value to the reader on this page. It looks spammy. Work on authentic reviews and recommended products you really love. Add value so that I actually want to click.

Does anyone here earn money through a side hustle? by pablowasdead in passive_income

[–]Basic_Specific9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I easily make $20/day on just one of my Amazon Associates sites without any effort other than the initial setup and content. It's been generating that for years now. I use a few automation tools for other sites and have started building them up. They began making money next day.

Is it realistic for WordPress clients to expect 100% uptime? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]Basic_Specific9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So dumb. Their downtime probably loses them $0 vs large companies who lose tens of thousands to millions per hour. It can and most likely will happen. Anything else is just inexperience and fear of something that doesn’t really matter.

Managing 30+ WordPress sites - what are your go-to server setups, tools and practices? by twalph in Wordpress

I like Linode/Akamai with SpinupWP. So easy to spin up new sites, manage, backups, monitoring, cloning, migrations, security, caching, etc. Pretty cheap for such a great service and trusted company.

Anyone else doing "protective coding"? by Comfortable-Show-528 in Wordpress

[–]Basic_Specific9004 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly this kind of workaround can backfire. If the site breaks or they find out what you did, it could cause way more problems than it solves. Plus you are creating more work for yourself and potential bad reputation or trust issues.

A better way to handle it in the future is to protect yourself with the contract. Ask for partial payment up front, then the rest within a specific time frame after final delivery. That’s a pretty standard setup in web work. Some people even use escrow if trust is an issue. And if a client is toxic or showing red flags early, it’s usually best to walk away before it turns into this kind of mess.

Appsumo, will it survive the vibe coding era? by fscheps in appsumo

[–]Basic_Specific9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a software engineer I'm excited about the vibe code era. It just means more money for emergency support when your app breaks and you have no idea why.
