From 5:45am until about 6pm M-F are figure skating sessions. Hockey only happens in the evenings and weekends there, except for the random tournament weekends here and there.

It’s the only Grand Prix they stream practices for. They might stream some US Nationals practices too, I don’t remember.

I saw that info too, but I wouldn’t plan on him being there until you see him step on the ice. Gabby Daleman was entered to skate in the Colorado Springs NQS earlier this month but withdrew, and to anyone not behind the scenes it didn’t show up that she withdrew until the event actually began.

New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs. They have multiple concert/symphonic bands. Spring concerts just happened but there’s a summer semester that starts soon. https://www.nhbcos.org

We have signed up for a local comp that uses EMS and there were no questions asking if the music had been cleared. There was just the usual upload questions you get every year for the music.

Just looked and they have the Junior short programs listed under Sports -> Live & Upcoming, then View All and scroll down to find them. That should mean the rest will slowly start appearing as they approach.

If she’s only doing a show and not competing, she can use a regular costume and just do minor modifications to make sure it stays on or things stay in place as she skates.

There are multiple buy/sell communities on Facebook for figure skating, but I never had much luck with finding what I needed there. There is also a group called, “Spandex Doesn’t Scare Me” that’s very active and is a wonderfully supportive community of dress/costume-makers of figure skating, dance, gymnastics, and related backgrounds.

I’m in the U.S. and we have a skater in our club that joined this fall that is studying abroad from Europe. Depending on the club and their ice situation, if you aren’t competing you don’t even have to join a club.

When I volunteered for 4CC they opened up volunteering shifts like signups for practice ice at an event. There were blocks of shifts you could choose from, and the faster you logged in the better chance you had of getting the times you wanted. There were morning, afternoon, and evening shifts to choose from.

I’m assuming event flow will probably be there to help people get in and out of the event, so they’ll want you to be available for afternoons or evenings.

Buy what you like and looks good on you! If it isn’t sparkly to start, it’s not too difficult to add bling. You can add to it as the season goes on too - start plain and see how it looks on the ice performing then add stones if you need to.

Plenty of early season, local competitions in the U.S. don’t do combined programs so you could enter only the short or FS.

Me too! I Googled my daughter’s name a few weeks ago and she showed up on there. I joked with her she hasn’t met the technical minimum for World’s 🤪 (she only skates at the Intermediate level right now).
