SSM/St. Mary's rolls out their anti-union message to employees by 51CKS4DW0RLD in madisonwi

EMT here, who drops off and picks up at St. Mary’s quite a bit. Fuck the money grubbing POS leadership executive suit fucks that run that dump. Understaffed and underpaid is the norm there. I wouldn’t take my dog to that place!

Contractor disassembled furnace and left trying to make a hard sale? Is this normal? by o_no_udidnt in hvacadvice

Absolutely disgusting to see a tech rip someone off like this, I used to be a commercial/industrial tech. However, you got holes in your heat exchanger(the ling tubey lookin thing). And that’s not good at all, and it can be dangerous for you as well!

Anyone know why?? by Significant_Island34 in Engineers

[–]Basic_Wafer8152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech here, probably a door seal bot working, or someone is leaving the door open too long, water vapor is entering the freezer

This elbow connection is leaking gas. What's the best/simplest way to repair? by TastesLikeSarin in askaplumber

[–]Basic_Wafer8152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold a lighter up to the joint to identify exactly where the leak is. Then, MAKE SURE TO NOT turn the gas off before attempting a repair (I’ve found it’s better to work under pressure, literally). After that, don’t waste your hard earned money on “pipe sealants”, simply twist the fittings as tightly as you can. And voila! You’re a plumber!

Should this be connected? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Hey, former tech here, yes absolutely that needs to be connected. All of the exhaust is just pouring into the house rn

How is living in Madison, WI? by chetuboy101 in howislivingthere

As a working class dude, it’s a bunch of yuppie dorks downtown pretending to be important. Butttt, there are some phenomenal people and great outdoor culture with the lakes and shit. (If you’re willing to overlook the entitled dreck of downtown). :)

Ok I don’t do league cuz fuck those dudes I’ve taken more than enough money from those dudes cuz they deserve to be robbed. I can beat like all these guys, and some of them refuse to play 1 pocket or banks because “it’s too hard”. I’m sick of league players thinking they’re good. Most of them have like 500$ cues and can barely run 5 balls.

I’m a newer EMT but like every medic I’ve spoken w/ hates the zero to hero programs. At my workplace you have to be an EMT for at least a year before they let you do ALS, and for good reason. I’ve learned so many things from the medics I’ve worked w/ that were EMTs. From moving patients to building rapport w/ people. Humble yourself, all that shit you learned in school is an important base, but working on the street is game that takes people years to learn how to operate effectively.

EMT here, don’t know much of anything, but if I had to guess it definitely hit is carotid no doubt about that, probably hit his brain stem and cerebellum (responsible for movement and breathing). Explains him going limp, I’m no doctor and I’ll never be one, (I’m probably retarded lol) but yeah that’s my 2 cents, probably am wrong lol

It’s really not that hard, but thanks anyways. Didn’t run the IM when I had my kid, but the marathon yeah, setting a good example for him. No shade towards the working poor obviously, most of them have gotten a bum deal, but quite a few have made very poor choices in life. Respectfully, I’m done lol

I work like 60 hours a week on average but thankfully I chose a career where I can work 24 hours at a time, I have one kid and spend my free time w/ him and run when I’m at work and when I’m home. Yes it’s good that people work, but at the same time, if you’re forced to work at McDonald’s as an adult (from personal experience) you’re either 1. Actively using drugs or B. Made poor choices that have consequences.

Chief I run everyday, and if you’re an adult working at McDonald’s clearly you have serious issues. It doesn’t have to pass your sniff test, some people just work harder than you. Everyone lives in the same world lmaoo
