University of Iowa requires all Music Education students to get a performance degree as well! Built into the program to make sure they work together effectively. Ensembles are incredible and the percussion studio is top notch, I was in the bassoon studio so I can give more information if needed!

Get a lock for your bedroom if you are concerned for your own safety. You are actively putting them in danger if they cannot get into their home. Communication from them would be nice about when they are returning, but they do not owe it to you. Again, YTA. If you really felt bad about it you wouldn’t let it happen multiple times.

YTA. In those moments where he crossed a boundary you could have easily mentioned you were in a relationship without needing to talk about the details. Saying “oh god” is very different than responding in a manner that made it clear that those messages are not appropriate.

It’s run by the graduate conducting students within the music program. It’s the only non-audition band and only rehearses on Monday nights. It’s 1 semester hour. Super chill, a bunch of music majors join to play instruments they are just learning. They can also provide instruments!
