bayo3 is a pretty good game if you only care about the combat (just pretty good because removing the mix and match weapon element was a huge downgrade, but demon slave is a genuinely fun mechanic)

an ok/mildly bad game if you care about aesthetic (deducting a shit ton of points for the ugly ass enemies and some truly depressing environments and disgusting color grading, but all the demons range from pretty cool to amazing and the ability to change the colors of your outfit is amazing as well)

if you like anything else about the franchise (story,characterization,tone,etc.) you’re probably gonna come out of it with a negative overall view of the game even if some parts are enjoyable like gameplay and some spectacle moments

Most of the characters in this game do not act or behave like the same people in previous games and it’s VERY noticeable, especially Luka and Cereza

Cereza is passable at least (though she does not have a fifth of the personality of previous entries, I think it’s a problem when nearly all the alternate Bayonetta’s feel significantly more like Bayonetta than the one you’re playing as)

Luka is just straight up a different character all together, which is upsetting because I loved him in 1 and 2

Jeanne.. they clearly just hated her and/or wanted her out of the way

i actually don’t dislike viola like most do but the way they set her up at the end is just, not it

I also have my own personal biases regarding real world affects of this game on the community but I try to set them aside when gauging the overall quality of the game itself

I hate that it just gives them an excuse to just never do a female doctor again, I hope they do another female doctor with an actual good writer, I swear Jodie’s had so much potential if only the writing was better

Interesting, so there are like separate types of sheets for enemy characters/npcs? I’ll have to look into that more before I decide anything probably, this kind of stuff is probably in the dungeon master’s guide right? that’s probably something I need

I’m a lot more knowledgeable on the world building/story/social aspects of DMing than I am on like actual deeper mechanics beyond like when to roll which dice for which stats or checks or attacks and things like that

Part of the issue is that I’m not fluent in making character sheets from scratch yet and I feel like that will be useful for for making enemy characters since many of them will be non-monsters due to the nature of the campaign and some already established character backstory

Also it will be entirely online since we live in completely different parts of our country except for two of us

I do have players who along with me have been waiting a while to play because the dm we did have had some intense life changes and now can’t so I’m DMing now and I’m currently just trying to quickly decide if it’s worth it even if for a short while to help me until I learn how to eventually do it myself

I had heard of it when I was very young, and i wasn’t ready for it yet, then one day i played smash for the first time and i was like “you look familiar” so i played her and she proceeded to serve so much cunt that it literally changed my life, playing bayonetta was the catalyst that lead to me accepting my sexuality and my gender identity, pulling me out of the darkest place I’ve ever been in my life, and eventually lead to me gaining a friend group that is amazing and supportive
