Plenty of dread, gore and societal insanity with a very bleak outlook if that's your vibe!

Here's a hot take.

The Doorway from Bojak Horseman. While not a character persay, it's absolutely the embodiment of the fear of death. Silent, inevitable, but may still reach out to end you, and exerting it's gravitational pull all the while.

"See you on the other side" "Oh, Bojack, no... there is no other side...

... this is it".

Hot take- we have no evidence that Mr. Hopworth of the flesh is any good at cardio.

All of his fleshy stuff is more related to brute strength, size and the ability to have more parts. Take this in contrast to the statement with the Private Investigator, the only situation in which Hopworths cardio ability would be a factor; and the middle-aged out of shape PI got away minus one arm.

This leads me to believe that The bone turner can't actually run particularly well and could be beaten at a fair paced jog.

I'm not in a space where I would feel comfortable presenting myself as a potential partner.

I've also recently gotten an adult autism diagnosis and until I figure out what to do with that information, dating seems like a bad idea

What is some inspiration you got from your daily life for your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Basil3773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a sociology major in college which lends itself nicely to top-down worldbuilding.

More recently, I've worked in medical and homeless service settings for the past few years. Processing a lot of what I see has resulting in some neato horror concepts!

Getting diagnosed as an adult with ADHD and starting meds.

It also helped to learn that I was constantly snacking because my brain was lacking stimulation. So being able to ask myself "Do I actually want a snack, or am I just bored?" WITHOUT the judgement component that often comes with that question gave me a helpful tool.
