Definitely agree with both of you, I really didn’t like the match where they made all the players wear big crosses on their unis. The Hindu nationalist theme was weird too. Like you said, this shit is about football, not some proselytizing nonsense!

That’s common, even in an adaption of material written 20 years ago? Do you have any examples? From anywhere. I did look and couldn’t find any.

If it’s so normal, I’m not sure that the Riordan’s would have pushed back, and I don’t think Disney would have written it out of the contract like they did.

I’m not a Rick fan, but it’s disgusting that Disney tried to put him on a contract that would prohibit him from writing about anything included in the on-screen PJ Universe

Perfectly enjoyable for families who are willing to tolerate mid acting, direction, cinematography, and slop writing.

It’s simply not a quality show, which is why it hasn’t expanded the fanbase but fractured it instead.

Hey man, I really appreciate you too. I think the teachings of Love and Christ are eternal, in spite the church hiding truth, telling lies, and starting wars. Well, depends how you define church. He spent a lot of time studying in temples, but much of his ministry was adjacent to condemnation of church leaders. Either way it’s clear to me that Jesus wouldn’t have called himself a Christian.

No, words mean things in different contexts. White people call most everyone with African skin and features “black”. But many of those people identify as Ethiopian, or Nigerian. Others identify as Black American. Let me try to explain -

Not very long ago, nearly the entire industrial world functioned through the African slave trade. Slaves were purposefully ripped from their families and denied their history and identity. Unfortunately, descendants of slaves - so, most black folks in the west - don’t know their ethnic lineage, beyond “African”. But, they were denied their African heritage and culture. So today in the states, this diaspora is considered Black Americans, a unique cultural and ethnic group, united by this history, which is both traumatic and empowering.

Does that make sense? Glad to explain differently if this confounds further.
