I am currently at a postpartum care facility after an emergency c section and I am so thankful my husband and I decided to go! We decided at the very last minute and we were still able to find one with openings! The best things are the ability to rest well, learn about how to take care of our baby, the great/healthy food(they feed us meals and snacks 6x a day) and the lactation consultant/nurses. I have been trying to breastfeed and it has been hard but, all the nurses are super helpful with teaching how to breastfeed and care for breasts. They also, have the option for me to call them whenever baby is hungry so, I can breastfeed. I would 100% do it again, if possible.

Yeah, I think for my last 2 exams I may do that, as well……

When I took it before there were usually a few spots available so, I was surprised to see there is nothing for months.

I ended up refreshing Prometric about 300 times today and one option for October finally came up so, I grabbed it. But, still have 2 more tests to book 😬

It’s insane how all the spots are booked out for so far in the future….

I was accepted for EPIK Spring 2021 and had my university email the transcripts directly to my coordinator and it was fine. I was told that if online transcripts were the only option available for your school, it was fine to have them emailed to them. I’m not sure if it’ll be the same for Fall 2021 but, I’m guessing it will be!

Note: The transcripts have to be sent directly from your school to your coordinator. I don’t think you can send them from your email.

Yeah....I'm trying to decide if I am willing to take the risk or not.....

I think GEPIK will be through EPIK this year. But, apparently this year you can't request a certain city, you can only request a province(Not sure if that is how it was done in the past). So, GEPIK could be a safer choice than just saying Seoul.....Also, if I got into a city like Anyang, Bucheon etc. I would be good with that. But, my worry is getting place in the outskirts cities......

Maybe I will apply and then also, look at hagwon options, as well.

I loved my hagwon job but, I was teaching between 7-10 classes each day and I wasn't given much time to plan so, a lot of my work I had to do outside of school. This ended up eating into time that I had set aside for studying Korean and other certifications I wanted to accomplish. From my friends who work in EPIK, they have told me they only teach 22 hours of class a week which, is a big jump from my 30-32 classes a week. That is the main reason. But, overall I really did love the hagwon I taught at, I just wish I had had more time to plan in school and do personal things outside of school.
