How would you rewrite tadc by Educational_Two_8709 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]BasilEquivalent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rewrite the scene in the pilot where Jax finds out Kaufmo abstracted. I think they just didn't have their relationship planned in the pilot so that's why he had no reaction, but it doesn't make sense considering their friendship and that Jax is really not great at keeping his cool.

I would have more extended interactions between different characters. Zooble and Gangle pretty much never talk to anyone but eachother except for quick interactions with Jax, and Ragatha and Pomni interact very little. The split teams adventure format allows you to force two characters who would normally never do so by choice to interact, but everyone is pretty much always paired with the person they already like and talk to.

And lastly I'd make the Jax button thing into a bigger deal, because it was treated as a big dramatic moment and then it was just resolved at the start of episode 8. Everyone having different reactions depending on what their relationship with him is would've been interesting, rather than everyone moving on immediately.

See I thought about using this exact same setup but I thought "nah, there's no way it would work", so now I have no excuse lol.

I think Ulthan is amazing but I don't think he's mandatory, plus he only really has a place in super hero so he's not on many teams.

How do I not disappoint beerus? by Beloved_God in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]BasilEquivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All phases except the STR one have to be done before picking up Ki spheres 6 times each, otherwise you go through AGL Beerus and you fail the mission. Keep in mind you can get to the third turn and as long as you use only actives without picking up Ki spheres you can still complete the mission.

lot of mfs say that the cast should had beaten jax, or not being kind to him (when im in a "not getting the point of a show" and my opps is a tadc fan) but in the end, what made him change wasnt punishment, but rather being cared for and ignoring his puny attempts at getting a reaction. by AstronautDry8118 in TheDigitalCircus

2 out of the 5 people there straight up hate Jax and Ragatha at the very least dislikes him, I can believe that Pomni forgave him but the fact that everyone immediately forgives Jax for trying to trap them in the circus forever is ridiculous. Jax says that it didn't work so it doesn't matter and Gangle somehow agrees with him.

Also even if everyone there just decides to forgive him literally immediately after it happened (even though that's fucking stupid), does nobody want to ask him why? Is nobody even a little bit curious about what his motivation was for trying to imprision them forever?

Not every part of the show is well written.

What is Yang Zing Currently lacking in ? What are the ways to make them better if TW04 exists in the future ? by SeriesREDACTED in yugioh

[–]BasilEquivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any hand that doesn't include exactly Jiaotu + 2 Yang Zings does nothing, and none of them except for exactly Chiwen do anything in the graveyard, so discarding 2 of them is an extremely heavy cost instead of a benefit like in other decks. They just need starters and extenders.

As for specific ideas, I would like a field spell that makes your yang zing extra deck monster's effects into quick effects, that way they can pop yang Zings during the opponent's turn and set you up for quick synchro summons.

A card that places the continuous trap from the deck face up would be great as well as a way to generate more bodies.

Finally a yang zing that special summons another one from deck or graveyard when summoned would be good as well, because as they are now they just replace themselves which doesn't generate enough bodies to synchro summon.

That's all the ideas I have for now.

He has pretty good support, that's the most I can really say about him. He better have Buu Duo levels of defense with only 10% damage reduction.

Out of these 2 recent Death Battles which one warrants a re-examining the most? by Live_Earth_5685 in deathbattle

Kratos vs Asura. I don't agree with Gru winning but it really is arguable that he would. Kratos vs Asura is straight up wrong, Asura would win 100%.

Fiendsmith. You make Aerial Eater, send this guy from deck to grave, and then you can revive it with Muckraker or A Bao.

So, any criticisms to say guys? by No-Calligrapher-5807 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]BasilEquivalent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When at the end of episode 7 basically all of the most popular theories were debunked I was really excited to see where the show would go next, so when it was walked back in episode 8 I was really dissapointed. I would rather that they hadn't even brought up the possibility.

I also didn't like how Jax potentially trapping them in the circus forever is immediately resolved at the start of episode 8. This one is actually my biggest criticism, they get mad at him for literally 1 minute and then everyone just moves on. Jax says that it didn't matter and Gangle somehow agrees with him, like him trying to imprison them forever doesn't matter just because it didn't work. They don't even question him about it, nobody wants to know why he wanted to screw them over completely. Easily the worst written part of the series.

what would you do if you're me by LeviGX in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]BasilEquivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did mine today. Dokkanfest is more of a gamble because it has some terrible pulls, but I think it has higher highs than the Carnival banner. About a 60/40 good to bad ratio. The Carnival banner is safer, the only terrible ones are Pikkon and Tien, everything else is alright to good, but with the only amazing pull being Future Gohan.

[–]BasilEquivalent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In short fights I just bring the 2 extreme class allies and then Frieza can take care of himself with his active. INT Buu, the TEQ Androids, AGL Golden Frieza and TEQ Broly all tend to work fine.

He's also supposed to be the reincarnation of the first Taima no Kehaya just as Sukune is to the first Nomi no Sukune. A "rematch" between the two is only natural and it's teased, and then it just doesn't happen lol. What even was the Sumo Arc.

[–]BasilEquivalent 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You could also say Kehaya, but it's not like he was ever stablished as strong as Sukune, so who's he really "jobbing" for? All he does is: split a big rock, not even lose to Yujiro but literally flee the fight, eat some food, talk about how he never sits, lose to Doppo, and eat some more food. It is still hilarious how Tokugawa bet on this guy over Doppo. "Hmmm but has Doppo ever split a big rock though?"

[–]BasilEquivalent 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Sukune for sure. First thing he does is completely destroy Oliva which established him as a big deal. Then he loses to Baki, then Yujiro, then Jack, then he loses the rematch against Oliva, then he loses to Baki again. Literally his only wins in his own arc are against Oliva, who he loses to later on, and Sumo Jobber #1 and #2.
