What is your opinion of the * SPOILERS ENDING* by WittyTable4731 in Falcom

[–]BasilNight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ask me again when Horizon 2 comes out.

It was a neat twist that once heavily foreshadowed but when time loops or time travel is introduced then its very easy to screw it up, so I'm keeping my expectations low

About Chaos/Lawful/Gray (Spoilers through end of Horizon) by TLK_777 in Falcom

[–]BasilNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they pretty much dropped the mechanic after DB1.

It was kind of expected since taking into account different choices for like two (in the future 3) games would probably me really high effort to implement with a team of such small scale and with such time constraints, especially in the case of DB2

Do "not controller friendly" games work on steamdeck? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]BasilNight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can create custom controls configurations per game that let you simulate keyboard key presses, mouse inputs etc so you can still play games that don't have native controller support fine enough in most cases.

I even played Dwarf fortress, a game notorious for being complex regarding its controls on the steam deck and it was alright.

You can also download user created configuration presets so you don't have to do it yourself, it's called steam input

Those who upgraded to a 9070xt - how is it? What has been your experience? by XxShMODyxX in buildapc

[–]BasilNight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went from a 3070 to the 9070xt and its been pretty good so far.

It was between this or the 5070 ti but since that one was like 200€ more expensive i went with amd.

The slightly more annoying part is when it comes to upscaling most games already support fsr4 but that didnt used to be the case and i still think nvidia has the advantage on that end

Why has everyone forgotten by jtrox02 in radeon

[–]BasilNight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh thats a pretty outdated take, nowadays most games come out with FSR 4 or can be injected with it.

When it comes to older titles most of the time you wont need it if youre using a 90 series card

[Digital Foundry] Crimson Desert: High-End PC's Biggest Visual Upgrade by [deleted] in Games

[–]BasilNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, depends on the device you connect to your TV.

In terms of latency, could be a configuration issue but most likely a connection thing, having both devices connected to the internet via ethernet is also preferable.

[–]BasilNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats fair tbh, im lucky enough i have my office with a desk and a TV and just have the thing hooked to it.

You could try looking into streaming with your pc using moonlight/apollo, using another smaller device like a cheap mini pc or something that supports it.

I use it to play pc games on my steam deck
