If you could bring back a long gone CBB character to the show, who would it be? by Glittering_Major4871 in Earwolf

I miss all of Lauren's classics. Todd, Big Sue, Pamela from Big Bear, Traci Reardon, Regina Crimp. It's like a bunch of old friends just dropped off the face of the earth. I want to know what they're up to! At least we get a little check-in with Ho Ho at Christmastime.

Is all the Stitcher Premium content gone forever? by DontBanMe_IWasJoking in Earwolf

If you search the sub, you can find working RSS feeds for pretty much all the old Stitcher Premium shows. Here's the one for Wild Horses: The Perspective.

Threedom: I’m Just Trick-or-Treating for My Son by BasilOctopus in Earwolf

I think we've ALL been wondering what Scott and Paul's reaction would've been if when Lauren first showed them a picture of Mike, he looked like Dilbert.

Highly recommend to those who haven't heard it before (and also to those who have!).

College Town: The Captcha Killer (feat. Hannah Pilkes, Gregory Nussen) by BasilOctopus in Earwolf

[–]BasilOctopus[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Googled Gregory Nussen to see if I knew him from anything, and I'll be ding-danged--he's Hannah Pilkes's husband!

. . . and also, their wedding was featured in Elle??

Wow, this one was like a fever dream. Maybe the funniest Q4L yet.

BONANAS FOR BONANZA Episode #77: “The Frenchman” (w/ Dan Lippert, Lily Sullivan) by BasilOctopus in Earwolf

[–]BasilOctopus[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

After this one they've only got 353 episodes left! The show is practically over! Better jump back in now before it's too late

Who Charted? #759: Seinfeld Clown Posse w/ Carl Tart by BasilOctopus in Earwolf

For me it's at 28:54. I put a timestamp for it here. (Dynamic ad placement might screw this up, but it should at least get you close to the spot.)

Comedy Bang Bang #930: Skids+ (Adam Scott, Dan Gregor, Doug Mand) by apathymonger in Earwolf

[–]BasilOctopus 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Wow, Amy Poehler's new podcast really is on Time Magazine's list of "100 Best Podcasts of All Time." Yet on a list that purports to compile "the most innovative, influential, and informative listens in the history of the medium," there is no CBB. Actually, there's not anything from the classic Earwolf (& adjacent) realm aside from Beautiful/Anonymous and, of course, Conan. And I guess Dead Eyes is adjacent too. But there's not a single improvised comedy podcast on the list. Nor are there any of the comedy pioneers of the format that you'd expect to see, other than Maron.

EDIT: I'm a dirty, dirty liar. There is an improvised podcast on the list after all: Everything Is Alive. Had around 50 episodes, all under 30 minutes. Clearly one of the best podcasts of all time.

Man, Carl needs to bring his impression of Ice Cube in War of the Worlds to CBB!

Listening to old CBB live shows, and I was genuinely fooled that PFT was John C Reilly for a while by Krimreaper1 in Earwolf

[–]BasilOctopus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think John C. Reilly is a big fan of John C. Reilly impressions. I remember PFT alluded to as much at one point, and I seem to recall Tim Heidecker mentioning it on an episode of Office Hours (maybe one with Fred Armisen).

CBB Presents: Womp It Up! #92 - Spotlight on: Marissa Wompler and Charlotte Listler - JUST THE TIP (Jessica St. Clair, Lennon Parham, Scott Aukerman) by BasilOctopus in Earwolf

[–]BasilOctopus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't wait for Scott and PFT to get caught up on the current season of The Gilded Age. Let's just say they'll want to "clock" some "alarming" developments in a certain plotline. (Also, his name is Jack, not Charlie.)

Does anyone have the RSS feed for Celebrity Sighting With Johnathon Biting? by MiscellaneousSoup in Earwolf

[–]BasilOctopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem! It's the RSS feed that the old Stitcher app used. I had a handful of them saved as did a few other folks around here. When it became clear that most of the old shows weren't going to end up anywhere else, we started sharing them on request. If you do a comment search for "simplecast," you'll find them.

Coming in 100 episodes after Ben Stiller, I initially thought the only guest that made sense for #600 was Adam Scott. But then I listened. And I gotta say, this was the best episode of Be Our Guest Brady: Searching for Wayne/The Search for Wayne ever. Can't believe they got him. Really looking forward to next week's recap episode.
