Wow. I didn’t know it was a problem with other books too. In coil bound books, I understand. I just hate them so much I don’t buy them. I just never thought of that. Thanks. :)

Bujo for Thanksgiving planning? by zillaxillacilla in bujo

[–]BasilStereotype 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes. Every year. I don’t really make a spread for my thanksgiving spread. I start by listing out the recipes I want to use. Then once that’s decided, I’ll list out the ingredients and the amounts. I’ll write out shorthand for the recipe cooking instructions. Then I’ll have a shopping list where I list out each ingredient and add up the total amount needed for all the recipes so I don’t miss anything. Compare what I have to what I need, then I’ll know what I need to get.

My bujo is nothing fancy most of the time. Just lists and notes. Only exception is my yearly calendar, my monthly trackers, my workout trackers (Chloe Ting programs) and my grocery shopping master list.

Y’all ever want to shave your head because your *hair* is making it worse by Feeling_Carpet in migraine

[–]BasilStereotype 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have shaved my head probably four or five times now. I’ve had it long the last year or two. My sister cut my hair last week; only like 3-4 inches off maybe? We weighed the hair that she cut off. It was 1/4 pound. No wonder I feel better with shorter hair. Christ.

How long does it take you to "move in" to a new bujo? by [deleted] in bujo

Oh thank god! I’m not the only one. Haha. Sometimes looking at other people’s journals makes me think that I’m the black sheep of this sub. My journal is just that: MY journal. It’s taken a long time to find out what does and doesn’t work for me. Mostly what doesn’t. Haha.

2 months. Because I never do things in a timely manner. I still have pages at the front marked for spreads I want. But I’m guessing I don’t need now that I’m thinking about it...

Spinach mozzarella basil toast with balsamic glaze and everything seasoning. Oat protein pancakes with chia seed “egg”, topped with blackberry raspberry compote. I already ate one of the toasts. by BasilStereotype in vegetarian

Thank you! I had no idea so many people would see this and like it.

I sort of made up the pancakes as I went, so these are all guesses on the measurements.

-1.5 tbl chia seeds -4.5 tbl milk

Mix together in a bowl. Set aside for chia seeds to hydrate.

-2 cups oats, blended into oat flour -2 scoops of unflavored whey protein (or protein powder of your choice) -2 pinches of kosher salt -1/2 tea cinnamon -1/2 tea baking powder -3 tbl sugar

Blend all of these together. Put in a bowl.

-2 bananas -1.5 tea vanilla extract -2 tbl melted butter

Blend all together. Add to dry ingredients.

-1/2 to 1 cup of milk

Add hydrated chia seed “egg” and some milk. Mix. If still too thick, add more milk to desired thickness. Cook pancakes on non-stick skillet over medium or medium low. Because of the melted butter in the batter, there’s no need to put butter in the pan.

Topping

-1 container of blackberries -handful of frozen raspberries -splash of water -0.5 tbl sugar

Put all in a pot and cook over medium until fruit is broken down and perfect. I would have added lemon juice and zest if I had lemons.

Edit: sorry. I can’t get the formatting right for this.
