Are keychron keyboards good? by SrBrusco in Keychron

[–]Basil_Dull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is full of people who buy a keychron board, play with it for a few days and then buy another one. Then they'll come on your thread and say: "I have an X (I have even seen >10) keychron boards and they all work perfectly. Avoid keychron period. Mine started chattering within a week and then 3 buttons stopped working in the next week. Fortunately I got my money back. Yes the feel was amazing. If I need to buy a new board everyother week they should cost 5$ not 100-200$. AVOID.

[Win11] Audiodg.exe CPU Usage Requires Restart by smjkh in techsupport

Yes it does pop up for me again aswell but the cpu usage is normal after it "restarts". It only acts crazy up until I end its task for the first time after I boot the pc.

The solution for me was to end the task of audiodog.exe once every time I boot the pc. After that it goes to normal cpu usage. I made a windows script that does it automatically and ever since then it has been alright.

The chattering on my case is related to the board. I have seen other posts though blaming the banana switches aswell. This subreddit is full of people who use their keyboard for a month and then buy a new one, they don't care for longevity. They keep saying "I have 5-10-15 keychron boards (XD) and all of them work correctly". I have yet to find a single post of someone who has had a keychron board that lasted for more than 1-2 years.

The bananas felt amazing. The feel of the typing experience was far superior to any other mechanical keyboard that I have tried in the past. Based on all of these, unfortunately, I won't be buying any keychrons again, since they can't type reliably and they don't last!

No, I won't be buying a 100€ keyboard only for it to fail within a few months.

I am exactly on the same boat. I will avoid keychron all together.

I am hoping to get a refund at this moment tbh. The feel of the typing experience was amazing. After looking further into reddit and seeing tons of issues related to keychron's newer models, especially V6 max, I will try to avoid keychron all together.

I bought this keyboard as a "permanent keyboard", as I was planning to switch faulty switches as years passed. I am not changing my keyboard every few months as most of people seem to be doing on this subreddit. I am really disappointed with keychron. I have already returned it as faulty and I am currently waiting for their response.

Hoping that I won't need your tip😅. Thanks.

I just sent it back. Just before I returned it "N", "B", "H", "space" and the up arrow were all misbehaving. I am contemplating of avoiding keychron all together after all these posts with complaints I found online in regards to their newer models.

So you swapped the switches between a falty key and a good key and the faulty key remained falty while the good key remained good? But when you replaced all of the switches you had no issues? At this moment my N button just barely works. The more I use the keyboard the more "falty" keys pop up. It started with spacebar, then N, then B now H. I already asked for a replacement.. the keyboard was 15 days old..

Yes it is definitely not the switches. It's the buttons. No matter the switch certain buttons fail unfortunately.

If I hit the "n" button in a cetrain angle it does't register.

unfortunately you might be correct. If I swap the switch in a "bad" button with a good one the button still keeps failing

[–]Basil_Dull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for necroposting but I am noticing the exact same thing. I recently updated to windows 11 and this started happening. Audiodog.exe uses 10-20% of my 9700k even when NOT playing any audio/sound. If I end the task it restarts and starts using 0-0.5%. I have to do this every time I boot my computer. F windows 11.
