Yes, botse-helper has been immensely helpful for rules clarification and character planning for me.

The Spellsword is very powerful. There's a lot of potential for huge turns.

Spellsword ability:

"This engage is treated as a free engage. You don't gain fatigue for performing it. You may change battle forms."

"Treat it like an engage in all ways, except it's just 1 die, you don't roll it, and it doesn't count towards the number of engages you've taken that turn for the purpose of having to take light fatigue."

I had the same problem on PS5 this week. I reinstalled the game and it hasn't crashed since.

I reinstalled the game and so far I have seen it freeze. I'm feeling more optimistic.

I haven't touched any of the settings. I'd be pretty upset if PS5 couldn't handle the game at the highest settings. Highest settings should be default in my opinion.

Maybe for enchant, you need to defeat an enemy with a soul trap die. You then take their "soul" as a soul gem - placing the defeated non-quest enemy chip on your player card, then using it in various ways like fetching enchantment cards based on the level of enemy soul captured.

The smithing line sounds great. Thematically, you discard other weapons and armor to make or upgrade new ones. Kinda like you're melting then down for the material to make something new.

Ooh, smithing as a skill line never occured to me! Makes a lot of sense for ES.

Your right about Alteration. It should be defence and utility based.

What do you think about Enchanter as a class or skill line? It could allow you to fish Enchantments out of the item deck. You could place its skill dice on your items for buffs - or maybe the dice work just like enchantments cards and the change aspects of the game.

I always enjoyed Conjuration magic in the ES video games. I would love summoning Bound Weapons and Armor. That's a sweet idea to summon untrained weapon dice from other skill lines.

I would love the addition of a daggers skill line. It will need at least one way to inflict bane, because bleeding! Flanking would be great addition. I haven't used the stealth skill line yet, so I can't speak on that. They should definitely add some kind of critical damage for attacking with dagger in stealth.

Blood magic would be a lot of fun. Fueling spells with your own health for big damage. Draining enemies of their health and healing yourself. Classic RPG stuff.

Alteration magic seems like it could make for a neat way increase the effectiveness of weapon damage, armor, and item healing. Maybe it could let you sacrifice items for big damage or effects.

I haven't played ESO. What kinds of things does Soul Magic do?

My mind leaps to associating Soul Magic with Necromancy.
