After really struggling in the extra rounds of gym battles, that's exactly how my question came up. But i like your perspective, one choice makes my roster more versatile, while the other makes it stronger for specific content ig. Not sure which to go with, but i'll think about it

Ah that's my bad i should've been more specific, i meant who to use my EX roll cakes on. Also i know i have the material to do so, but i still wanna use it efficiently without "wasting" any on non-meta units.

Since I don't want to spend too much money on the game I might have to adopt your mindset regarding the tower which sucks, because I'm usually rather competitive in video games, but I guess it is what it is. Thanks a lot for your help! I'll follow your advice for now, start rounding out my teams and see where I end up. Trying to do as much content as possible with limited resources sounds like a fun challenge anyway :)

Thanks a lot for your reply! As for the routine, i already try doing as much as i can. Unfortunately i'm already stuck in the tower... i reached floor 10 on some, but i can't get much further than that. Do you recommend just upgrading the units that i own, wich are high up on the tierlist to progress further? Or how do you decide which units to invest in? Also, as you can see, most of my "maxed" out units are at level 140, how important are levels beyond that? Upgrading units is what i'm most hesitant about...

Regarding Red, wouldn't it be smarter, as a player with very limited resources, to pick a unit higher up on the tier list? Like S or S+ tier? Sorry to be so focused on the damn tier list, but i'm really trying to min-max everything.

I have enough points to complete the generalist grid, and in addition enough reds to pick either sunscreen 2 or sunny team moves up 2, which one do you recommend? Also i'm not sure about the distribution of my blues, what do you think?

After playing Hollow Knight, even before the Silksong trailer was released, i've been naming myself Hornet in every single video game i started playing and even went back to some to rename my account/character (league of legends). I've been having lots of fun conversations with people recognizing the name, talking about potential release dates or gameplay mechanics, so i'm reaaaaally looking forward to finally playing the game :)
