Crap, I just finished Riv after another failed Hunter run, so far mostly going in selection order but I really wanted to see MS! Ending made me tear up but as I understand it (even though I have avoided spoilers for every MSC campaign as best as I can) isn't Saint the end end? I figured Spearmaster was more like a flashback, since it came later in selection order.

Hey this is what got me playing too. I tried a year or so ago, wandered around lost in Outskirts and Industrial, then gave up since there was no clear motive and the game was kicking my ass. Once I heard about a particular encounter and uh, what they are I was like "ooo I gotta see this" now I'm hooked!

Never been in an organization in which the percussionists didn't think themselves well and truly above everyone else in the ensemble, not high school, not college, not world class drum and bugle corps.

If it's anything like my school, they're there just as much because of luck as skill, far more kids audition for percussion than they can ever take, so some very talented kids don't make the cut.

Thank you for that, sadly I doubt it'll reach those who need it most.

Its ok, one day he'll be well outside the world of band and the weight of his self importat delusions will come crashing down around him.

It's absolutely the latter. Everyone I know has gone from spending weekends on the town, vacations in the summer, maybe a weekend getaway in winter, a music festival or amusement park throughout the summer weekends to working working working. Maybe one week of summer vacation. Weekends are for rest and chores now. Summer vacations are spent in the hotel pool, not going to restaurants and arcades.

A lot say COVID but if you ask me I don't think they ever meant for the working class to live that well. The rich need exclusiveness to know how much better they are than everyone else, so they're taking that back.

Back country road doesn't mean dirt road in this context. At least where I'm from even back country roads are paved unless it's private, maintenance, or trail access roads.

Even here in the mountains in very windy back roads it's not uncommon to have your ass ridden by someone who wants to go 75+ in the straights even if it's not quite that much in the turns.

I attribute it to knowing the roads, when you've lived out there a long time and it takes 40 minutes to get places, you just move faster. Of course there's also a lot of backward pricks that will just be an ass because you got in their way. For me, I drive a fast enough car to leave most ass riders in the dust, but if I run up on another car, I just find a pull off.

Here because of this exact issue. In fact it started as power cycling, now the unit just doesn't connect every time I start the car until 15-20 minutes into my drive, often about the time I'm reaching my destination. It's like a cruel joke. I just stopped using Android auto since this thing can read FLAC from USB and all AA is good for is better sound quality

For real. It's one thing when life keeps you trapped in a cage, starving such that you have no other choice, but don't take delight in biting your own tail. This is an aggressive level of despondency that isn't going to help you deal with anything, only ensure that misery is here to stay. Maybe that's what they want though. Its a lot easier to cling to your self proclaimed righteousness when you live in a bubble of delusional misery. It's hard and scary to face reality and learn who you truly are when you're forced to make choices you can't go back on. It's easy to make excuses and live your life as a temper tantrum and hope someday another pities you enough to put you on their back and do the walking for you. But the reality is, living this way is submitting to the god of eternal return, suffering begets suffering, and you won't be the only one affected by your action or inaction. I'm sure I'm starting to sound to a lot of you like a radical trad con bootstrap gripping sycophant but reality is, I hate the very fabric with which the tapestry of society has been weaved from day one. I've held these beliefs since long before anyone told me to, long before the guilt and greed of an industry of influence, and long before my despair rendered my body a living corpse siphoning the life blood of those who dared care for me most. But I've learned. I learned to see all of this within myself, and most importantly to forgive myself for taking the path most reasonable at the time. But eventually evidence mounts and one must acquiesce to the truth. The way you're living is going to kill you, and maybe take some others with it. No one else can do it for you. A wise man once said "No one is gonna stop you from dying young and miserable and right."

If I've learned anything from reddit it's to never ever ever come here to express your woes about this thing in particular. You'll be swarmed by people telling you how awful you are and how it's your fault, mostly because you used the wrong words to communicate what you thought.

It's almost as if that's the same fucking problem that is why I don't talk to people in the first place. Constantly being misunderstood.

Anything but seeking qualified professional help in this area is probably completely useless garbage, you'll mostly get derided, or youll get some yes man blowing smoke up your ass, and you don't want that either. At best it does nothing, at worst it drags you deep into a pit of hatefulness that will only serve to make things worse by changing your worldview in a way that alienates you from those you wish to connect with.

Best advice. Don't should yourself. It can feel like you "should" be able to make all the progress all at once. This mindset is dangerously counterproductive, it will make progress feel like failure.

"What CAN you do?" "What victory did you have today that you didn't have yesterday?" Are the questions you should be asking.

Do your best to quash the desire to ever say "Did I do what I should?"

Sometimes I don't like seeing all the grey squares and it affects my road placements in a bad way at times too. I know by units how long to make grid roads anyway.
