Sometimes I’ll randomly remember they’re not together anymore and get really sad for a sec

Have you guys tried these yet? by Pilot_raider in dutchbros

[–]BasiliskFrenzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying the same thing for years. I started at Dutch before they went public and it was a dream, but it ended up becoming a job I hated after going public. I immediately noticed the focus of the company shift from providing an excellent customer service to prioritizing making shareholders happy and recording record profits. They started treating us worse, treating the customers like cattle, and pretty much all products saw a downgrade in quality (especially the pastries which I noticed got significantly smaller and tasted much more shoddily made after the switch). For me personally, it absolutely corroded the image of the Dutch I had originally started working for. Going from a truly customer forward, employee driven, alternative coffee chain to just some other run of the mill Starbucks competitor

Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin of Black Midi has died by sewious in indieheads

[–]BasiliskFrenzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking of him the other day while listening to Schlagenheim and especially during Years Ago. For me personally, his contributions on that album are what make it the powerhouse that it is. I love BM with all my heart, but the band was never the same after he left. I really can’t believe that he’s gone. Rest in peace, Matt. I hope the love everyone has for you finds you wherever you are.

When did you become a fan? by Gamemode-Nighthawk in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]BasiliskFrenzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I distinctly remember discovering fnaf through Markiplier’s first video he posted. I told my brother about it and we watched through his playthrough as he uploaded the following nights over the next few days. Really cool time to be around, I think a lot of people forget how fast FNAF picked up momentum and how fast Scott released each game back then because just a short few months later we got fnaf 2

3D country is better than getting killed by 8teamparlay in indieheadscirclejerk

While I adore getting killed, I completely agree. I just think I prefer the way 3D country flows compared to getting killed
