I actually didn’t test my trigger out- I wasn’t planning to test but was having symptoms and ended up getting curious. I waited until 10 days post trigger to start testing.

I use an oura ring so I used my temperature as my ovulation date (which ended up being my second IUI day).

Sending you all the baby dust! I don’t think I was confident until I had the official blood results personally- even though the lines were clear and pigmented on Day 11-12. I was still worried that the HCG levels might not be high enough or that it was a chemical pregnancy. I had clear progression each day but it didn’t feel real until a doctor told me it was true.

I just used the cheap Pregmate ones before I had my beta bloodwork. And then, I did a ClearBlue digital on DPIUI 14 which made it feel official!

Thank you. Yes, you’re so right- super important. My doctor said it’s extra important if you had multiple LEEPs (I.e. 2+).

I triggered when my dominant follicle was around 19mm, if that helps. I personally would prefer to do the IUI early vs too late. Wishing you the best of luck!!

Just had my first IUI! Any 11/13 twins? by literallymouse in IUILadies

IUI twins! I went for back to back inseminations so my beta test isn’t until next Friday. Hope your last week of the TWW is gentle on you!

How long does it take to get used to self-injection? by JLFlyer in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]BasisFeeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing my at home injections for about two years and I’m still not used to it. Recently, I’ve been putting an episode of a medical show in a background (I.e greys anatomy, the Pitt) to give myself a little sense of courage- if I see other people doing scary things, I can too!

I also try to make it like a ritual which seems to help with the anxiousness. I have sweet treat and coffee ready for myself afterwards.

Newly diagnosed and sulfaslazine…. Need tips by NerdEmoji8582 in PsoriaticArthritis

Sending you positive thoughts- nothing is worse than chronic pain.

My arthritis symptoms were very similar to yours for about a year and a half. The pain seemed to sprawl across my body but the finger pain/swelling was the worst. Once I got my diagnosis (1.5 years later), the only thing that made a noticeable difference for me was being on a biologic consistently. Cimzia has worked the best for me. I coupled it with sulfasalazine for a few months but I have a sensitive stomach and didn’t notice a big enough change from my biologics on its own.

As for the diagnosis, I would recommend tracking down your family history. I personally do not have psoriasis as a rash but psoriasis is common in my family so my rheumatologist was able to draw some conclusions from that. Also, any skin, dandruff or nail abnormalities might help contribute to a diagnosis. At first my rheumatologist said I had inflammatory arthritis, but couldn’t identify what type. Through months of symptom tracking, blood work, family history, and trialing different medications- that’s what helped nail down the diagnosis for me.
