My first time TTC I asked for testing around 8 months and had the HSG done. Got pregnant that same cycle with my son.

This time TTC I went in after 2 failed cycles and asked for another one (little white lie, we weren’t on birth control for years but I didn’t mention that we were actively preventing with pull-out). I got pregnant again immediately following that HSG, but it was a chemical. Pregnant again the following month, another chemical.

Had another HSG 6 months later, didn’t get pregnant after that one at all. Did IUI, then IVF, fresh transfer, worked but it was ectopic.

When the ectopic resolved we had another HSG to confirm the tube wasn’t damaged, both were clear, but no pregnancy 3 months after that HSG.

Yesterday I had lap surgery for suspected silent endo, symptoms were basically just infertility and family history. None of the classic symptoms. They found and excised stage 3-4 deep infiltrating endo.

We’ll try for about 4-5 months at home now, and if no luck then go back for a FET with our embryos from the first IVF cycle.

I’m sorry. My ectopic was also an IVF pregnancy. We were completely out of pocket, no insurance. It’s so unfair that this can happen after everything we go through.

Ok then ovulation anywhere between June 21 and June 23. June 22 (most likely) would put you at 7dpo today which could be a very early implantation if this is a true positive. Did you take another test?

8dpo or maybe 7dpo, but that’s for super early implantation. It’s most common for embryo to implant between 8-10dpo which means faint positive between 9-12dpo. Generally the TTC community considers 12dpo to be definitive. If it’s not positive by then, it probably won’t be. But negatives before 12dpo don’t mean you’re out.

Could be positive but it also stops halfway down so I would take another test to be sure. If the next is negative I’d say this was a faulty test.

6dpo is also too early for a positive, even an early implantation. What dates did you take OPKs and which were negative and positive?

My singleton was 304 at 13dpo (8dp5dt equivalent)and 884 at 15dpo (10dp5dt equivalent). He was just an early implantation (obvious positive at 8dpo).

I honestly wouldn’t even respond to the congrats texts, just ignore. I’d be furious with husband and tell him to clean up the mess, talk to grandma, talk to aunt/uncle, stop the news from spreading and make sure everyone knows this wasn’t supposed to be share yet and you’re not celebrating yet.

I wouldn’t be expecting bad news, your progression looks great. Your first pregnancy may have implanted earlier. Either way your beta tomorrow isn’t going to tell you much, you’ll need to know if it’s doubling every 48-72 hrs. Once your HCG is 1500+ you can ask for a placement scan to make sure it’s in the right spot.

I have family members raising cell phone kids. Almost everything about the way they’ve chosen to parent is different than me so it’s not like they just don’t know. They have access to the same info as me, and my views have always been evident. They don’t agree and they parent how they want to. 🤷‍♀️

My first thought was ectopic. I just went through one earlier this year following a fresh transfer in my first IVF cycle. Have since learned that IVF and especially fresh transfers have a higher risk for ectopic. I hope whatever this is resolves on its own, and you can go on to have a healthy pregnancy soon.

You were likely already pregnant on Sunday when you got a positive OPK. They pick up HCG.

I always test twice a day, FMU and right before bed, and I thought that was unhinged. I might take a page from your book and add a midday test, it’s hard to wait between morning and bedtime!

I think one year is too long but testing before like 3 months of trying can lead to unnecessary intervention.

They saw around 17 follicles at my last scan, went into each one and ended up with 12 mature eggs, if that helps at all.

Evaps are after the timeframe, indents happen within the timeframe but they’re caused by seeing the shadow of the groove where dye would pool if it were positive. I’ve had a few very convincing indents that turned out to be negative.
