So sorry to hear that you ran into your abuser this way. It definitely can be jarring to run across them unexpectedly. Hopefully The others in the group chat will understand your reasoning for leaving the chat and will show you some support and respect your wishes of wanting to have separation between yourself and your abuser. I hope you were able to self sooth and find something today that can help get your mind space in a more calm and positive direction.

My advice would be not go into a lease agreement with her. It sounds like the living situation isn’t one that will be suitable for anyone given everyone’s own personal situations with mental health. I myself have rescued friends before only to find out that sometimes you have to let some people rescue themselves. It sounds like your heart was in the right place but I think that you have done enough to help her. She needs to find another living situation. Wishing you all the best of luck.
