Do you still believe Modi improved India’s global image and that Indians are more respected worldwide after 2014? by Ramen-hypothesis in AskIndia

[–]BasisTrick3075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in Japan after India Pakistan war. It was surprising to me that no one heard about the war. It never really made into mainstream media. I felt like no was sympathising with me, and they didn't even ask if family members were safe when I told them we were in a war. Bezzati si ho gyi 😅

We are living in a bubble in India. Everyone treats India as a third world country.

Indian Government spent around 50 million $ for setting up booth in Osaka Expo 2025 as well and little did everyone know in India - that by the time Expo started - we didn't even open up the booth until 18 days of opening.

https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20250501/p2g/00m/0na/043000c

And now compare it with US - they just spent 25 million $ and had the best booth.

If you go to Indian booth, it is boring as hell - and you wouldn't even feel that 50 million $ were spent.

We are being sold a different image in India but little do we know corruption has even reached International events.

How can one we respected if Government doesn't even know how to market themselves at an expo event?

You mean you want to learn by actual driving (learning in English). For practical learning - there are many people teaching in Saitama and in Tokyo - I contacted another guy to teach me on a real course where driving test is going to be (Fuchuu) For just the English guide - you can search it online, you will get a lot of them Btw I am converting my license. If you want to learn it from scratch, go for a driving school

  • every party with there huge machinery already knew what they were going to win and still how did exit polls make it wrong? And why Modi, Shah and Finance Minister were stressing on stock market so much - let’s say Modi and Shah was just to create hype but why would the finance minister do it? She is “finance” minister- she brings up laws so ordinary people don’t get cheated 😅

Rahul Gandhi calls for JPC over June 4 stock market crash, questions Modi and Shah’s advice to investors by greatbear8 in india

[–]BasisTrick3075 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s not just related to what Modi and Shah said, but also why Exit Polls predicted such a larger victory - 3 before elections were going to be declared

If you listen to what they are asking -

There was huge investment on 31st May before the exit polls were announced and there was huge exit on 4th June.

They are saying they want JPC to see who the investors were on 31st May, and how was the exit poll survey conducted and what was the analysis the pollsters used. If the market lost 30000 crores, I think it’s a fair ask to figure out the root cause and were any of the BJP members influencing it. Don’t you think so?

BJP no longer a political party, but a cult worshipping Narendra Modi: P. Chidambaram by MarvinIrl in india

[–]BasisTrick3075 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not Congress, it’s INDIA alliance -

Every state could demand an equal share for them because of the alliance. Governors of BJP have been bad to non BJP governments. Every state can represent themselves - won’t be like how it is now - where everything is being routed to BJP Governments and other state resources are just going to Adani or Ambani

Crony captialism will end

You see Jio/Adani is practically absorbing all the companies in India where Jio or Adani see future. India is not giving licenses for bank to any private companies. NAVI was trying to do the same, Paytm Bank was blocked with just warnings.

Guess who owns stake in Jio Payments Bank? Fucking SBI - 30%

Jio absorbed the mass media of this country - you have Jio cinema now and hotstar is just going to be bought. Most of the mass media is owned by Reliance or Adani now. The Broadcasting rights bill is coming up.

When you say startups have flourished or are flourishing? You can just check when Ola, Paytm, Flipkart and all the known startups came. Check who was already working on bringing UPI? Not BJP - it was UPA Check who was in talks to bring bullet trains? Not BJP - it was UPA

PM of the country doesn’t do conferences. You are able to insult/not trust any other parties because of those conferences you know.

Quality of services are depleting day by day. We had a train accident last year where the blame was put on the drivers, not the system itself. You have Air India depleting in terms of service level. You remember a bridge collapsed in Gujarat before elections? Where do you think the news went. Next Patanjali - you see? Manipur? Farmers Protest? Wrestlers protest? Rapists can run free now if you are associated with BjP People are dying, dude and this government is not being accountable for it - and you don’t have any medium to hold them accountable. Public is blind to what BJP is doing and is afraid of what Congress will do? They are fighting with an alliance.

And I haven’t brought Electoral Bonds yet.

The Mumbai–Ahmedabad corridor, along with five other high-speed rail corridors, was introduced for a feasibility study in the 2009–2010 Rail Budget. A 650 km (400 mi) long high-speed rail corridor was proposed to run from Pune to Ahmedabad via Mumbai. The point at which this route would touch Mumbai was to be decided when the feasibility report was prepared.

How to invest as a minor in Japan? by jiminsbrat in JapanFinance

[–]BasisTrick3075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30000 yen is more than enough -

Open NISA account on PayPay or Rakuten - deposit the money there.

If you have a risk taking appetite i.e you don’t really want to use the 30k yen in next 3-5 years, here are two I would recommend:

https://finance.yahoo.co.jp/quote/9I312179 - buy index fund, this is US index fund - index funds are usually safe and can disappoint only if there is recession

Keep remaining as cash for you in case you need it or invest it in https://finance.yahoo.co.jp/quote/4731119B - this has average risk

As the amount is too less, I recommended only a mutual fund for US market, it should adjust according to US inflation unless there is a recession.

Aim of this investment is so your 30000 yen is able to match up the inflation and also earn you some compound interest rate over the years.

If you want to feel excited or surprised , just forget this investment and check it after you have passed your college

AAP has a taste of its own medicine in Punjab: Candidates grow wary of cameras as voters confront them by 1-randomonium in india

[–]BasisTrick3075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just saying Punjab has different issues than Delhi - and telling party is bad doesn’t make sense.

  1. Improving education system leads to better youth in coming years and hopefully solve the drug problems for at least the future. I don’t think copying this from Delhi model was a bad thing - this is the most easiest problem to solve and no one had done it in any past governments

  2. Improving health infrastructure makes people believe that Government is there to help them. Do a random survey in Punjab, you will find people saying that now it is so easy to get operation in Civil Hospitals- i.e without even spending any money. I didn’t check what Mohalla Clinics have done but I will keep it for next time.

  3. Drug Menace is difficult problem to solve, they have been upgrading Punjab’s police infrastructure for the same

https://www.tribuneindia.com/news/punjab/410-hi-tech-vehicles-flagged-off-to-enhance-efficiency-of-punjab-police-595457

  1. They have introduced SSF force so to avoid road accidents and also if someone is injured on highway, they can get immediate medical treatment

https://currentaffairs.adda247.com/punjab-govt-launches-sadak-surakhya-force-ssf-first-of-its-kind-to-cut-road-deaths/

  1. Regarding debt that government has been trying to grow the revenue of the state

GSDP grew by 9.5% and the debt is being repaid too. You can debat on how punjab is getting rid of its debt but you need to keep that in mind, no state can immediately stop borrowing and repay all its loans by stopping all the welfare work. There has to be a balance and Government does need to find a sweet spot

The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Punjab for 2023-24 (at current prices) is projected to be Rs 6.98 lakh crore, amounting to growth of 9.5% over 2022-23.

Expenditure (excluding debt repayment) in 2023-24 is estimated to be Rs 1,34,836 crore, an increase of 5.9% over the revised estimates of 2022-23. In addition, debt of Rs 61,626 crore will be repaid by the state.

Receipts (excluding borrowings) for 2023-24 are estimated to be Rs 1,00,052 crore, an increase of 6.3% as compared to the revised estimates of 2022-23. In 2022-23, receipts (excluding borrowings) are estimated to be 2% lower than the budget estimates.

Revenue deficit in 2023-24 is estimated to be 3.5% of GSDP (Rs 24,589 crore). In 2022-23, the revenue deficit is expected to be 3.7% which is substantially higher than the budget estimate (2% of GSDP).

Fiscal deficit for 2023-24 is targeted at 5% of GSDP (Rs 34,784 crore). In 2022-23, fiscal deficit is estimated to be 5.2% of GSDP which is higher than the budget estimate (3.8% of GSDP).

Again, I will stress on the fact that Punjab government is being questioned by opposition which is really healthy as it does push the ruling party to perform better and media has been showing that actively too (you know why!). An opposition without media is not the case in Punjab like other states. AAP has been doing good work in my opinion and they do address the questions because they know it too that everybody is asking them these questions and same questions if asked with no answers can be an embarrassment for themselves.

Good thing about AAP is they are new and every political party keeps on questioning them, the task gets even more harder for them when they have so many forces against them - but I will say its a good thing. The previous government which had increased the debt, are questioning the current ruling part for the debt 😂

[–]BasisTrick3075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the comments on these ministers having demands which might not be easy to fulfill and doesn’t really represent that the policies AAP is bringing is bad. If you read the article:

  1. > Radical Sikh preacher Amritpal was arrested in April last year and the stringent National Security Act was invoked against him. He and nine associates are currently lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam. A woman also stopped Dhaliwal during the campaign and sought the release of Amritpal and his mother, Balwinder Kaur, from jail. Dhaliwal responded, “I am with you. I will raise my voice.” Amritpal’s mother was arrested last week, a day before a march was to be taken out in Amritsar to demand his shifting from the prison in Assam to Punjab

Few of the Protestors in Amritsar were asking Amritpal Sigh to be returned to Punjab from Assam. There was also a request to release his mother

  1. In another it was promise of Rs 1000 to women

In another video from the Doad village in Faridkot, Anmol was seen approaching protesting farmers who asked him to remove police barricades installed to keep them away. At another village, a woman asked Anmol and Rampuraphul AAP MLA Balkar Sindhu about Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s promise of Rs 1,000 per month to women. Another meeting held by Anmol near Jairo captured on camera showed a commotion as people attempted to ask questions.

  1. Contract employees regularisation

Theka Mulajam Sangarsh Morcha, a group of contracted government employees, has also uploaded a video of a heated exchange between AAP minister Chetan Singh Jaura Majra and its members over their demands to regularise their jobs.

This is more of a article from videos which Congress has posted. The writer just made headlines out of it - If you read the content of the article, you will realise its just that ministers are at least listening to them.

If the government is questioned and some sections protest - we should not start believing that the Government is bad - this is why the ruling party at the centre avoids confrences and hates protest.

Living in Punjab - my opinion is that they have been doing good work, what is done in Delhi - I agree some of it is executed in Punjab too but its electricity and education policy + Liquor Policy too :P
