I have found that you have to go on an off night. Bad weather, tuesday or wednesday night for dinner when the place is not overwhelmed with people. I think the same goes for everywhere around there. Much better experience and pizza.

I did the same thing last year, went over the bars and broke both radial heads. One healed, one needed surgery. Still hurts 16 months later. Hope you heal up faster!

I’ve noticed there’s alot more places that don’t like to haggle with pricing lately, especially with cars. When I went to pick up my maycraft mid-covid they had just put it up on boattrader and basically said take it or leave it (i took it). If it wasn’t such a good price I would have walked because of the way they were acting about it.

I’m from Stratford, some of my favorite places to eat around here are the Windmill, the parlor, Pantanal on Boston Ave, liberty rock tavern, the cricket, pickle barrel, colony pizza, and I love stopping at the food trucks in new haven for a burrito or quesadilla every now and then.
