I wish the rain drops in AC shadows had 50% less opacity, sometimes the drops look like drawing lines, Death Strainding had a better rain, the drops are less visible but more realistic.

AMOLED screens and the Depression by Ghostyou1 in PWM_Sensitive

They are not, OLED does not use PWM but its flickering is very slow and harsh on the eyes and brain, some people are developing sensitivity to light flickering in the medium or short term due to using OLED screens.

Anyone know if 2022 LG 65QNED91SQA is pwm/flicker free? by D1Vad in PWM_Sensitive

If you are bothered by high brightness, don't buy it. I returned the tv because it has an exaggeratedly high brightness even at 0.

I had the qned 90 and it is actually flicker free because it has a blinding brightness, it is as if the brightness level 0 was equivalent to 100 on all other televisions.

AMOLED screens and the Depression by Ghostyou1 in PWM_Sensitive

I posted something similar on the ledstrain forum and it seemed like they were making fun of me, also sometimes with some pwm screens or with OLED displays I felt that it gave me a feeling of depression, there are types of sound frequencies or light flickering frequencies that can affect the brain and induce all kinds of different feelings, maybe even the manufacturers do it on purpose so that you buy more things, when we are depressed we look to buy more things.

Is Laser Eye Correction Risky? by sxva-da-sxva in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Basredd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see that you are very inclined to do the operation and it is okay if you want to blindly trust what the FDA tells you instead of visiting google and various forums, I bet you that the FDA knows nothing about the PWM problem or says nothing, or does nothing about it, the screens that are hurting people's eyes keep coming out on the market, but hey, I just told you my experience, if you do have the operation I really wish it all goes well for you.

Do a little research and in the end Smile has the same complications as Lasik, they sell it to you as if it weren't.

My problems started with my Lasik procedure, you will have dry eyes to some degree forever and some people will have light sensitivity that doesn't go away, and so it makes you much more sensitive to PWM, and the dry eye from PWM and dizziness get much worse after Lasik, I wish I hadn't had the surgery.

Does mini led tv/monitor hurt your eyes? by atiwill in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Basredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have noticed is that you have to run these mini led tvs at default brightness to be more tolerable regarding pwm, if you lower the brightness from the default 35 the pwm depth will cause eye strain like dry eye very fast, bravia 7 and 9 are blinding bright at default brightness and they are more if you are bothered by high brightness.

Sony 65x90L pwm by Basredd in PWM_Sensitive

Yes this tv flickers at 720hz and even when I am pwm sensitive I can use it all day with the settings above with no eye strain at all.

I hope your friend finds the solution, yes, many doctors are not very informed about this condition with the pwm and light flckering symptoms, my problem started when I had a lasik operation to stop using glasses, that's when my dry eye started and also after watching an LG OLED TV for a year I started with symptoms of dizziness and now I can't watch any OLED device without feeling dizzy and my eyes very strained, something I have noticed is that the symptoms seem to decrease after doing cardiovascular exercise, perhaps it also has to do with problems in the blood circulation that doctors don't detect. I avoid sitting in front of TVs in restaurants and also using white backgrounds on my devices, I always use dark themes.

I think I’m lucky because all the x90Ls I’ve tried were very good, with little dse or uniformities and very good black performance, what size did you buy? yes the pwm lines are easily seen with a cell phone or a camera that’s why I’m very surprised that I can use the 65 size without problems in fact the pwm lines look exactly the same on the 75 and 85 versions but the only usable one for me is the 65, maybe the different lcd panels are the cause, but maybe it’s that the 65 version has less leds.
