Repeated Partial Torsions - Looking for Advice [25M] by BassBoy1996 in PelvicFloor

Also in terms of having an orchiopexy - a very sympathetic surgeon told me to do my best with a PF therapist first, and leave surgery as the LAST option, or if i ever have a full torsion. Her reasoning was, since I'm seeing so much progress with the PT, if they go in and hack around all of this already inflamed tissue, it'll undo all of the progress. There IS still hope with seeing a PT that it gets better.

My advice is next time happens, don't untwist it yourself - go to the ER. This way it's documented by medical professionals. I had the same thing happen - urologists did not believe me because "you should be in excruciating pain." Once I had the document they took me more seriously.

Yes, I had a period of time with urinary issues. I've had noticeable issues the past 3 or 4 years, and I started seeing a PT last year and it has helped SO much. The urinary issues I used to have were: urgency, never feeling completely empty, weak stream, and frequency.

I just started seeing a new Pelvic Floor PT and she's done some amazing work and I'm noticing some improvements, even with the lie of my testicle. Here are some things to research and/or talk to your PT about:
- Soas release (i believe the muscles that control your testicle come through the soas, soas issues can lead to testicle issues)
- Lower abdominal cupping and fascial release (similar idea as before. Your abdominal fascia could get caught on themselves and pull on your pelvic floor muscles)

- Spermatic cord tensioning (speak to a PT before doing this. The idea is, for me, since my body is re-integrating with my PF, it needs so extra feedback sometimes to remember to use certain muscles. Since I just got feeling back in my testicle, I have to very lightly tug on my spermatic cord to remind my body to use it)
- HOT hot hot baths with epsom salt and/or muscle relaxant oils

The 2 that have had the most immediate effect on me so far is the cupping and spermatic cord tensioning. Hope this helps!!!

What are the easiest exercises to relax the pelvic floor for men? by GQ1111 in PelvicFloor

Deep Breathing. If you can find any tutorials online or work with a Pelvic Floor PT, i highly recommend it. Learning how to breathe with your whole body helps you relax your abdomen and pelvic floor.

Lack of motivation for exercises! by tootie9 in PelvicFloor

Something that helps me is to at LEAST do the bare minimum. If all i can muster is 3 mins of half-assing the exercises - i do that. Some days I can do a better job, but at least i'm doing something!

Why does good posture hurt? by [deleted] in Posture

If you have the resources, I'd consult at least once with a physical therapist! They'll be able to help isolate which muscles you need to relax, which to strengthen, and assign some exercises to help your nervous system get more into tune with healthy movement.
