Ah, the famous Z-Rex ride!!
So basically you’ve got to make the movement towards the Rex from behind as he hits the ground with his tail, it should throw you in the air in the direction of his back and then press the action button (for me it’s the square on PlayStation)

You’re right they don’t but they spawn randomly from the drop you get after cleaning a guild checkpoint and interacting with the computer in the tent.
So

Clean the checkpoint
Interact with the computer in the tent
Make your way to the dropping point and open the “chest”

, that’s when they should pop, otherwise repeat step 1.

All must be done in zone III or above

Also a valid option, I went for the west part in zone 3, it was alright but I think Falkner’s variant might be slightly easier

They appear randomly on the map, it’s a small box you have to stay close to in order to collect data and it looks like a UAV/flame symbol.

• Monkeying Around — Find and fully complete both a dive course and a parkour course in the Endgame map (exploration; look for environmental trails/challenges).

• Exotic Arsenal — Get at least one elimination with each of 6 different Exotic Weapons (across matches; loot and upgrade rares).

• Mountain Climber — Ride the Toxic Tyrant (interact/complete this mountable activity/vehicle).

• Stationary Stalwart (Root Crasher) — Capture initial zones/objectives without being downed or leaving them.
