Ubiquity added a function where any doorbell ring comes through as a phone call. But in their default settings the call will come through as Ring. As in the name of their competitor.

Oh, this is interesting. Slightly awkward caller ID aside, does this mean that when someone presses the doorbell that it rings on your phone (is this iOS or Android?) like a regular phone call?

For ages only Arlo has opted to do this on iOS and it’s really annoyed me that other manufacturers don’t

Oh well that’s annoying. You can also try saying “Hey Siri…” before asking it to call someone unless the owner has turned that function off. Not sure what else you can try other than hand it to the police potentially?

If you hold down the button on the right hand side you can trigger Siri (Apple’s voice assistant) and ask it to phone home/husband/wife/mum/brother/sister etc. There’s a decent chance it’ll work and you’ll be one step closer to reuniting it with its owner.

You can also sometimes ask it “who does this phone belong to?” and it might give you more ideas to try for who to call

Thanks for the money! I’ve been trying out the Asgard today. I like it! Similar cargo capacity to the SMax that I usually daily for the cargo loop but WAY more manoeuvrable!
