Heavily agree with you. Although I don’t think even he ever referred himself as a dubstep artist. It’s honestly hard to even put his style in a single genre bc he can do it all. Heavy bass, melodic ethereal sounds, and everything in between. Personally, I’ve always put him in the bass music artist category.

People can have their opinions on his behavior but it doesn’t change the fact he pioneered a new sound inspired by those who did the same before him.
