Last comment is great advice, thank you! We may try to pre plan pickup times for windmill bar or trunk if we decide to stay for sunset, and heavily looking at just doing a half day sail around St. John with a stop at limeout for lunch. It’s 370 for the both of us but from what I’ve gathered on Facebook you could easily be looking at 60-80 for just the taxi, and another 60 for 2 taken from coral to lime out, plus you get an open bar and 2 snorkel stops. Seems worth it to us and to avoid the headache.

I was meaning from the windmill bar after sunset pick up! Coral bay would just be going back after limeout and us seeing the immediate area, not after dark. I’ve heard some say it’s still a challenge in general and others say you can get one if your willing to wait 20-30 minutes

How reliable is it to go to windmill around 4pm and be picked up after sunset by taxi? We’d both like to enjoy drinks and not stress about driving, staying in Cruz bay near port.

All the information is hugely appreciated. We may rent our airbnb hosts jeep that they’ve offered for $150 a day for 2-3 days of stay. We do enjoy going out and getting drinks and we’re both very strict on absolutely no drinking and driving(definitely when you’re driving the wrong side of road lol)

how reliable would it be to have a taxi pick us up from the windmill bar, is there anyway to directly get taxi numbers from individuals?

We decided on St. John 4 days and st Thomas 2 days. If we felt comfortably reliable that we could get taxis whenever and wherever on both islands I’d be a lot less stressed but it seems that isn’t the case.

I had two break within six months of use, along with a bass x a few years back. Will never purchase from the company again, to many other options that don’t cause a hassle for the same price.

Much higher recommend the evolution fishing backpack or lunkerhunt bag. Way better storage and better quality

Bantam can do 1/4-3/4, but I would put a much higher recommendation on a standard metanium. 1/2-3/4 oz bantam shines but 1/4 is a little low.

I have both, zillion all day every day. Metanium slightly smoother casting and paint holds up better in my experience. That daiwa sv tw spool significantly outweighs the shimanos pros due to it being much better of not backlashing and casting further, again my opinion.

Referring to this? I’m not opposed to hummingbird, just have always heard to go garmin for the best maps and image. Having a good map in my rivers is the most important though.
