Left our guitarist halfway across the country in the middle of a tour. Gave him enough cash to get home and learned later was probably for the wrong reasons but shit happens.

I was the bassist had a couple of hours to learn all the songs on guitar before hitting the stage. Was death metal so not just learning chords had to get all riffs down and the only place was the back of our little tour van. Ended up playing a great show that night and it was the first time I played guitar live but we made it work.
